WORSE THAN THE GOOD REPUTATIONI celebrated my own wedding here. First of all: the team on site was - with a few exceptions - committed, friendly and hard-working.Unfortunately, then the defects begin.WEDDING DINNER: The buffet started half an hour later, although we were assured shortly beforehand that we were on schedule. The refilling of the buffet was insufficient so that for long stretches a large part of the food was not even available to the celebrants. The drinks service at the place was also not sufficient, so many people went to the bar - but there were also waiting times there. Overall, the staff was understaffed.HOTEL ROOM: My wife and I had booked a room on site for our wedding night. That didn't work - at 3:30 a.m. we found ourselves standing in front of the locked room door. The card was programmed incorrectly, as it later turned out. You can almost laugh about that ;) ...if at least someone had been available, which unfortunately wasn't the case. The reception is not staffed all the time and there was no number that could be reached. We expected more service for a 4* hotel.PLANNING: Agreements were poorly communicated within the team so we had to address many things repeatedly. Information about the technical equipment on site was also difficult to obtain and only superficial. The employee didn't seem to know exactly what was available, so we mostly decided to use our own technology.Well, mistakes can happen, sometimes there's a bug.But if the managing director's first reaction to the deficiencies highlighted above is: "YOU WON'T EXPECT THAT WE TAKE WHAT YOU WROTE SERIOUSLY" ...then something is fundamentally wrong. Instead of an apology, we only read justifications and even personal attacks, even though we objectively described the shortcomings and praised the team on site. Conclusion: Under these circumstances there is no relationship between price and performance. That doesn't make up for the great location with the magnificent view. We were particularly shocked by the subsequent treatment and left a lasting, negative impression.

I was a wedding guest in the mountain restaurant. At first glance, the location was very suitable for a celebration! …

The Wilder Mann mountain restaurant is upscale. Very good cuisine. It is happily accepted by the local people of Dresden. Guests are given preferential treatment. Top.

I recently visited this location as a wedding guest in September. The view is beautiful. Overall, the hotel appears to be very well maintained. The lower terrace seemed a bit threatening for small children due to the lack of boundaries.Unfortunately there were some deficiencies in the buffet. First of all, the food was delivered too late. Furthermore, a product was completely missing without a replacement. Unfortunately the quantity was also insufficient. In particular, the salad bar wasn't even enough for every guest to help themselves. The salad was not refilled. Only the dips and some meat and baked potatoes were refilled. There were inappropriately small glasses for the fruit punch, which meant that when you filled them you either soiled yourself or the whole table. In some cases, products (especially dessert) were inadequately signposted. The buffet seemed generally poorly calculated. The booked table service worked slowly or not at all. Overall, the staff seemed unmotivated/unfriendly and only cleared the tables half-heartedly.The disaster happened when the couple could no longer get into the room they had booked at night and unfortunately there was no way to resolve the problem at that time (lack of contact in an emergency).Overall, the place left a rather mixed impression. I probably wouldn't organize an event there myself.

We celebrated our wedding with around 60 guests in the hotel and, like all of our guests, were completely satisfied and enthusiastic.Starting with the great location with the wonderful view, the great organization of the celebration by the hotel, the consistently delicious and rich food, where some special requests were also taken into account, right up to the rooms in which the majority of our guests can stay after a short "way home" stayed overnight. We can only warmly recommend the hotel as a location for weddings, but certainly also for all other celebrations! Many thanks again to the entire hotel team for making this great and unforgettable celebration possible!

Unfortunately the facilities are a bit poor for a 4 star hotel. Air conditioning is not mandatory, but is to be expected for this price. …
