The room in the hotel is very clean and functionally furnished. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was a shame that there was no restaurant. We would have been happy about a mini fridge in the room given the heat outside. The rooms are equipped with a ceiling fan and blinds. If the room temperature is 28 degrees, air conditioning would be desirable. The cooling fans from Aldi just over are bothering you 24 hours a day. You can't sleep with the window open. Too bad for the hotel!

Older hotel with friendly staff and a generous breakfast.

There were 2 single beds instead of the stated double beds. It was 28 degrees in the room and you couldn't ventilate at night because the hotel had a spotlight on it and the Aldi's ventilation hummed. There is no children's chair at breakfast (costs €15).

A perfectly appointed hotel on a...good location. We stayed here to make city trips to Erfurt, Weimar, Leipzig and Dresden from the hotel. However, the hotel was moderately occupied, so we were alone there for 2 days. The reception is not always busy but very friendly, you can have a chat.

For one night, on the occasion of a concert, we ended up staying at Meister Bär's because everything else was fully booked or not within walking distance. From the outset we found the price to be very expensive; this year we only paid half as much in Munich, Leipzig and Zwickau at around €70, including breakfast. The room was clean and in very good condition. The bathroom as well, unfortunately it didn't smell good there and the mirror and shower enclosure could have been done without streaks. The beds were comfortable and we slept well apart from the ringing of the local church early in the morning.Breakfast was only available until 10:00 a.m., we showed up at 9:00 a.m. The buffet was unstructured, confusing and largely already empty. A stressed-looking lady darted back and forth between the tables. After we sat in front of our plates (egg and bacon were already cold), she brought us cups, a quarter-full warming pot of coffee and cutlery without saying a word...We were extremely disappointed with the service and quality of the breakfast. As mentioned at the beginning, we would have expected a significantly different performance for the money. We paid cash at check-out (11:00 a.m.) and had the amount added to the next 10 euros. No thanks, no “have a nice trip”, no “honour us again”, nothing.

Contrary to the negative reviews about this hotel, I would like to say that it is very good to stop here. Whether active restaurant business or not. I travel a lot because of my work and am always staying in hotels. So I know what I'm talking about. My room and the rooms of my colleagues are all without complaints. Breakfast top. Free sauna. Everything clean and tidy. Come here and see for yourself.

Stayed overnight in November as a solo traveler. I really liked the breakfast and the free use of the sauna. The reception was nice. I was even able to send it in sooner. Aldi is Visavis.. Really good.

Pretty old hotel, that's what the rooms smell like, I had a kitchen in the room, unfortunately there was nothing apart from a few plates and two pots. No detergent, cutlery, measuring cups, kitchen utensils, baking paper... the oven was completely dirty and had crumbs everywhere. It's hard to see some dead flies on the carpet 😖 when I wanted to lower the electric shutters in the evening, unfortunately I lost everything. There were big fat flies everywhere. The hairdryer in the bathroom didn't work... generally it made a very unkempt impression.
