The Dekwah Homestay is a homestay which is very well located in Ubud (in the center).The quality/price ratio is excellent for this location.We loved meeting the house's little puppy, Snowy.When we arrived the toilets were dirty which is really disturbing for us.We didn't really enjoy breakfast, except for the banana pancakes on the first day: you should ask to have that every day if possible.The lack of light in the room was also a big problem for us.Overall, if you are traveling on a tight budget, this homestay will be very suitable (that's why we give it 4 stars).If you can afford to pay more, we recommend staying elsewhere (a little further from the center of Ubud).

I liked the location, close to the center, with several places to have lunch, dinner, and breakfast. I didn't really like the room, it's spacious but it needs some air circulation and a better smell. The breakfast is delicious, homemade; Not too filling but good for the price. If you are only going for a few days and you are only going to sleep, it is good, nice and cheap.

When I take the price-quality ratio so perfect! For such a price, you are right in the center of the action. The Ubud Palace, the Rice Fields Walk or the popular Monkey Forest are within easy walking distance. There are an awful lot of restaurants, bars and shops in the area, there is certainly something to choose from. Great breakfast that you can enjoy on the terrace. Air conditioning and WiFi worked without problems. The shower worked as it wanted, cold water rather than hot, but it didn't matter at all in the terrible heat.The rooms with a terrace are located directly in the garden, not far from the family's residence, so it is necessary to expect that someone will pass by during the day. They are nice, but I personally prefer more privacy. It's not like they walk right in front of the room or on the terrace, but you sense their presence. The pillows were a little harder.

Overall the accommodation is great, especially for the price!! The hostess is very attentive and kind and made very tasty banana pancakes in the morning (super fluffy and not as greasy as everywhere else)!! The room was clean too. The only thing that could possibly be complained about is that we somehow didn't have a blanket cover, which in itself wasn't that tasty, but then we didn't care! Would definitely come back!!

I like how close it was to main tourist attractions and how hospitable the hosts are. However, if you look forward to spend more time working or relaxing in this homestay, it’s not the place for you. The bed and pillow was too firm for me, lack of storage spaces, and there’s a mirror with really weird height in front of the sink (catered more to taller western guests, I assume). The bathroom offers hot water but it comes and goes. There’s also no bedsheet change (Idk if they have it or not because they didn’t inform me) so we had to sleep with our bedsheets not changed for a week.

Agree with the other reviews that staying here was really pleasant. The staff are friendly and happy to assist you during your stay. The breakfast in the morning was also really nice and it was great being able to enjoy it on the outdoor balcony area. The location was also perfect, close to town but not in the really noisy area. Would recommend!
