We were guests in the hotel for a week. The welcome was warm. The service staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet and the 3 course dinner were great. Everything was always freshly prepared and tasted very good.But there are also two points of criticism.It was impossible at night with it opento sleep through the constant windowNoise from the street, and the very small wardrobe is only partially sufficient for 2 people.

Am very satisfied. Old house, but stylish. Good service, clean room. Quietly located at the back. Good breakfast with fried eggs and bacon that can be ordered. Unfortunately only one type of cheap baked rolls. 5 minutes walk to the center. Parking spaces in front of the house.

We spontaneously drove to Zittau without making a reservation. Unfortunately there was no more room in the guesthouse and we had to go to the “Schwarzer Bär”. Boss very nice. Sent us there immediately. Were received very nice and friendly. Parking lot right in front of the hotel. Unfortunately the street noise was very loud but I still slept very well. Dinner was delicious, even if the menu was very clear. Breakfast was rich and tasty, even though I almost never eat breakfast. The beer garden behind the house and the covered terrace for smokers are great. The hotel is very centrally located and you can explore a lot on foot.

Centrally located. We were here as a group of bikers. Room very good, spacious with fridge.Service great. We were allowed to park our motorcycles in a garage in the courtyard. Staff exceptionally nice and accommodating.

We were there with 20 bikers from July 5th. until 08.07.Guest at the Bear. We were completely satisfied. Even parking was a bit of an experience. The entrance was through the “hallway” via the beer garden into the garage.All motorcycles fit in.Everything else was fine too.Friendly service,enjoy your meal. We were also satisfied with the rooms. The entire hotel has been lovingly renovated and furnished.Conclusion: You can really recommend the hotel, especially for motorbike tourists.

A house with over 300 years of tradition in which we felt very comfortable, even if only for one night.Lots of nostalgia but very clean, with large rooms and soundproof windows, as it is located on the busy green ring.The breakfast was very generous and left nothing to be desired.Absolute recommendation 👍👍

The room was clean. There is a minibar and a television.Unfortunately the window was directly on the street side. That's why it was very loud when ventilating.The bathroom was very small but functional. The beds were very uncomfortable.Check-in was very guest-oriented and friendly.The checkout was awesome. Paying €5 for water in the room is pretty cheeky if you aren't informed of the price beforehand. There was no information in the guest folder nor a price tag.What was even stranger was that the water had to be paid for in cash and that an invoice was only issued upon request. It didn't appear on the room bill.Also funny:As a guest, I had to sign the EC receipt even though I paid with a PIN.

We were there for 1 week until today. It was very nice. The room (separate beds upon request) was small but comfortable. The cleanliness, including in the bathroom, was great. The food with half board was only one dish in the evening, but very good. Always 3 courses and super tasty. The service and friendliness was very good. The room at the back was very quiet. I can only recommend the hotel. The breakfast was super delicious. The staff very nice.
