Unfortunately the accommodation is getting old. In my room number 4 the bathroom tiles were cracked and there were cobwebs hanging from the lamps in the toilet area. Unfortunately, the flower boxes with dried flowers didn't make a pleasant impression. I would also have liked better bed linen from a hotel of this category. The breakfast offers a lot of meat, but unfortunately not much choice for vegetarians with a variety of cheese, jam and honey. There was no fruit, no cereal or anything similar. If you stay for several nights, the breakfast is very one-sided. What I found particularly negative - for a hotel - was that on Sunday morning at 8.30 a.m. the breakfast buffet wasn't completely set up... butter, juice and a few other things were missing - that wasn't a nice (breakfast) start to the day.All in all, the accommodation does not give the impression of a hotel (e.g. towels were not changed daily or tea bags were not refilled daily), but in my opinion corresponds to a PENSION.

The location is ideal, but...To call the whole thing a hotel is a huge exaggeration, at most a guesthouse. Unfortunately the service was subpar. A helping hand is simply missing here. Everything was very unkempt, especially the outside area. Dry plants...With a little more love this could be a piece of jewelry.

Nice little family run hotel.Breakfast was great, lots of local specialties, fresh rolls from the bakery (no typical baked goods like in many larger hotels), but little choice for vegetarians/vegans (which didn't bother us). Beautiful breakfast room and also a small outdoor area in a kind of backyard where you can have breakfast. However, we have to complain about our room.Mattresses were very soft (although the comfort of the same has to be judged individually. It didn't bother me, my wife did).In the bathroom, a tile was missing from the shower and there were still a few hairs hanging on the walls around the mirror from the previous one... It shouldn't actually happen.Shower rod hung very wobbly on the wall, but held. For a man of normal height (1.79m) the rain shower hangs much too low - at only approx. 1.70m... Either you shower bending over or crouching or using the hand shower... Then the beautiful rain shower is completely for the cat ;)There is also a socket without a cover behind the middle process in the room. Pretty dangerous. In the bathroom and toilet the wallpaper is peeling off the ceiling in some places. Not bad in itself if it stays there, but not very nice or neat to look at either.Overall OK, but with some deficiencies in the equipment.

Simple, small but very nice romantic hotel directly below the Albrechtsburg. Very nicely located right in the old town.

This very tastefully furnished hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful old town of Meißen. If you want, you can even look out from the comfort of your hotel bed directly through the room window onto the Meissen Albrechtsburg, the Meissen Cathedral and the associated castle vineyard. So you also have a really great postcard view (especially nice in the evening when the entire castle complex is illuminated)...In any case, the price/performance ratio for what is on offer is absolutely fine. Also included is a good breakfast (Garni Hotel) at the beautifully set table and this nice old town atmosphere (of course you can also have breakfast outside).Bus & train, shops, restaurants and the most important tourist hotspots can all be reached on foot in 5 to 15 minutes. The small old town hotel has been run by a very nice owner and a rather conceited cat for over 20 years. The operator is very knowledgeable about the area, always ready to provide information if necessary and always spontaneously has a great tip ready!! Of course, there is always enough Meißner wine to ensure that no thirsty throat has to stay dry...In any case, I am convinced and would be happy to come back at any time.
