We had a great room with a view over the old town of Meissen. The room was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. With a glass of champagne upon arrival, we went to the Böttgerstube restaurant and had a very good meal. The breakfast also offers everything (local and fresh) your heart desires. The location of the hotel is also great. All in all, the whole stay was very, very nice. Thanks to the hotel team for this achievement.

Unfortunately, the room we had was pretty old. The buffet was great! The food was delicious, and very fresh.

We stayed in the Kerstinghaus for 6 nights. We were completely satisfied with the room. The room and bathroom are generously sized. The breakfast buffet is sufficient and extensive, but could use some variety. Dinner was a show. We had a 4 course meal. Great in terms of taste and presentation. What stood out was the friendliness and helpfulness in all areas (kitchen, service, reception, housekeeping and cosmetics). We have already booked another holiday in this house for next year.

We had a three-day stay and were accommodated in the Kerstinghaus. Overall we felt very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very good and the staff were very attentive. The spacious bathroom was also very pleasant. It's a shame that there was no Bible to be found in the room.

We stayed at the Kerstinghaus for 3 nights in a tastefully furnished, spacious room with a view of the city of Meißen. Our arrangement included a breakfast buffet, coffee and a 4-course menu in the evening. This was very lovingly and tasty prepared. The service staff, especially reception, were very friendly and competent. We felt very comfortable in this historic, listed building.

Unfortunately not good service or attractive roomsThe only opinion of the employee (HR manager?) that counts here is that the actions taken are strictly economical. The guest's satisfaction is irrelevant: no concern for the customer or willingness to compromise. After a complaint about very noisy rooms and that guests felt like they were standing in the room when they walked past and talked, the only argument was that it was an old building and that's just the way it is. Nevertheless, the room specifications promised a soundproof room. We have different ideas about soundproofing.Even when I pointed out that this way of dealing with the guest would result in a negative review, the employee did not give any intervention in favor of the guest. His comment then: Freedom of expression applies in Germany and I should be very happy to express it.It was also explained that our complaint was not relevant to business operations, as that is how they run their business and they did not need to respond to our complaint.I would have liked a little more understanding, but here the guest is more of a disruptive factor that has to be tolerated willy-nilly.Judging by the other reviews, I can also expect a response that will dismiss my complaint as unimportant and my subjective opinion as disrespectful. But it's also important that you feel recognized and understood as a guest...Especially since in a previous response from the operator to a negative review (from Angelika Hauska), this was written: "[that as guests] you can discuss any "problems" with the room or breakfast with our reception staff at any time.We always find a solution, a satisfied guest is really important to us."It's a shame that we weren't able to experience this promise, or the operator's maxim now lies somewhere else.We are disappointed that the harsh treatment of guests is apparently not uncommon in this hotel. It would be desirable for the future that this behavior is stopped in the company and that the focus is on treating the guest satisfactorily. My conclusion: If you want good service and a restful sleep, you should avoid this hotel. The price/performance ratio is not right here at all.Addendum to the operator's answer:Dear Mr. Sandro Sauer,First of all, thank you for introducing yourself to us on this journey...To 1.:I assume that your own price without the maximum 10% fees that Booking deducts still doesn't represent good value for money. To 2.:Since soundproofing was one of the room specifications on Booking, we could have expected this, contrary to your claim. Maybe you should adjust this before someone else falls for it.To 3.:I find the insinuation that I blackmailed you very daring. I pointed out to you that the tone you seem to be using with your guests would now result in a negative review.I only made this statement after you made it very clear to me that I would not expect any help or service from you.
