We booked the room through booking. com reserved. There was no indication of a non-renovated room. When we entered the room we were honestly shocked. The carpet was totally stained. The decor is depressing and that can't be compensated for by the small window in the room. No matter where we looked, it was just very dirty and the toilet smelled strongly of urine. We've been to a lot of hotels but that's not possible. Since we didn't want to stay, we immediately went back to reception and insisted on a cancellation. That wasn't a problem either. It seemed like they knew the problem. First the lady at the reception wanted to sell us an upgrade because we had booked an old, unrenovated room. But we didn't feel like it anymore. A tip to management unrenovated does not mean dirty. We then found another hotel room a few meters away and were very happy there. The price was the same only the hotel was better.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, especially the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the hotel offered a large selection of fresh bread and regional products that were very tasty. …

The hotel offers fantastic views over the city from its 26 floors. Since the breakfast buffet is also on the top floor, you can experience a rich breakfast with a special charm there. Provided you don't have a head for heights, it was a bit difficult for me at the beginning because of my fear of heights, but I got used to it. I could imagine that some potential guests are put off by the fact that there is no possibility of having breakfast further downstairs or even in the room, which may be a little further down. (Please correct me if I'm wrong there). My highlight was the pancake machine that automatically prepares mini pancakes at the push of a button. From sausage, cheese, spreads, jam, honey, chocolate spread, cakes, muesli and vegetables, as well as an English breakfast with baked beans, bacon and scrambled eggs, you could enjoy a varied breakfast and the price was more than good for what was on offer! Our room was advertised as a suite on the 22nd floor. The room itself was very angled, so that the specified 40 square meters seemed small. The specified sofa bed in the “living room area” could not be pulled out; you only had the option of taking the headboard down and placing it somewhere in the rather small room. Rather impractical, even if it is intended more for children. It was nice that there were 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub, so no one was in each other's way.The staff was friendly and accommodating. The city center location of course makes it easy to explore the city and public transport is practically on the doorstep. With the windows open you can of course experience city life in terms of noise, especially because there are two main roads right in front of your nose. Despite being on the 22nd floor, you don't really have any peace and quiet, so you should always keep that in mind before booking. On the less nice aspects:When we checked in, we couldn't be found in the system because we had booked through Booking and apparently the system didn't accept the booking. Of course, this delayed check-in. Fortunately, the hotel has a lot of capacity, but with more guests it could have happened that none of the booked rooms were available. This should be urgently fixed. You won't find a mini-bar described on Booking (at least what I would describe as such.) There is coffee and tea, as well as refreshments in the entrance area. (see photo)The room was pretty steep for my taste in terms of value for money. The view and the location make the hotel worth paying for. The furnishings and comfort are not up to date for my taste, overall it seems tired. We had 2 TVs in the living and sleeping areas that shared a remote control. Unfortunately, they are not sufficiently separated from each other and so we often experienced that both televisions reacted when we pressed the remote control. At the reception we asked for a larger table which we needed. We were given friendly help and a solution was sought, but something seemed to be wrong in the communication as this table never reached us. Even when checking out they said, “Oh, you’re in the room with the banquet table.”We took it with humor and replied that it never reached us unless it was stuck to the ceiling, because we weren't looking.WiFi is available free of charge, but the speed is subpar. For those who are traveling on business and rely on it, this could spoil their stay.Cleaning of the room and washing of towels must always be reported by 8 p.m., otherwise it will just stay as it is.There are parking spaces on site, but if you don't want to clean your car afterwards because some birds get rid of themselves extensively there, you should look for somewhere nearby to park. The bar in the entrance area is apparently closed on Sundays and public holidays. All in all, a positive experience with some drawbacks.

Nice hotel, location very good, rooms relatively small, staff friendly and service-oriented, breakfast very clear and not labeled, room cleaning must be announced the evening before. There is no discount if you do not take advantage of this. Great view on the 26th floor at breakfast.

Rooms, hallways and lobby need to be renovated, look like they were in the 90s. Mattress sagging. The location is very central, so there is traffic noise. Nice view at breakfast.
