Unfortunately we had very bad experiences. Booking with a voucher from connex. Our room without a view (roof over the kitchen) very dirty carpet, huge bathroom didn't get warm, cobwebs everywhere. On the first evening there was this forced menu for €35.50 per person: a piece of onion cake, smoked pork with sauerkraut and egg pie in a glass. Thank you very much for the night. On the second evening we gave upbut had to pay in full. We didn't realize that this agreement was common here. ladyvery unfriendly at reception! Meißen is nice but not this hotel via connex.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town of Meissen, close to monuments, restaurants, small shops... Everything is within walking distance. Perfect! The hotel service deserves five stars. The breakfast buffet is worth purchasing, very good and plentiful, everyone will find something for themselves. to make it not so nice at the end, when we were there (August), it was very hot - 32 degrees, the rooms were unbearable, if the hotel has so many stars, it should invest in air conditioning. We stayed in room 105, I don't know why, maybe it used to be a secret room with a faraday cage..., no wifi connection worked... Speaking of wifi, it's a weak hotspot..., and another spoonful of tar, tired carpet.

Were in Meißen for a few days, nice little town. Hotel 😄 was great, food was delicious and sufficient. The staff gets extra ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars, friendly, funny, always helpful. We say thank you!! 😊

The worst hotel I've ever been in. The rooms are totally outdated and definitely not 4 stars and not worth this price.It was quite dusty in our room and crawling with spiders. I killed 8 spiders on the day of arrival because my daughter is so disgusted by spiders. My mother and daughter would have preferred to leave again. The bathroom is an absolute disaster when it comes to shower facilities. You have to get into the bathtub and have no way to hold on. There's an option there, but it's totally pointless because then you can't get past the shower door. The fittings are totally outdated and just look disgusting. Plus, it's hard to even think about sleeping in the summer because the room is so warm and stuffy. In addition, the bed linen is more warming than cooling.Regarding the service, I have to say that the gentleman at the reception wasn't unfriendly, but he rattled everything off at such a pace that it was almost impossible to follow him and absolutely impossible to remember everything.I have no idea how all the positive reviews come about, but I definitely expect a lot more from a 4 STAR HOTEL.

A good hotel, rooms but with old charm, quite old fashioned. Our bathroom faced a small courtyard. There was a lukewarm air conditioning unit (counter unit), which was very loud.Breakfast buffet was very rich and good.

Today we had a romantic wedding anniversary dinner in the restaurantBooked the Hotel Goldener Löwe.We can choose the menu in advance. The table was beautifully set with candles, flowers and heart decorations. The staff was very accommodating and always asked us about the course of the meal. It was a wonderful evening for us and we would recommend the restaurantrecommend at any time.The Ruppert family from Freital

Hotel is very great and super centrally located. But be careful! When booking a voucher via Connex/J. Schweitzer, dinner must be booked! Unfortunately, this is what they are given! For a starter soup, dessert and a piece of unseasoned fish with unsalted potatoes 35 € is very steep!!! Unfortunately we really disliked that! However, the breakfast buffet was very good and more than plentiful.

A small, dreamy city hotel that is getting old. But that's exactly what matters. A huge compliment to the very nice receptionist who checked us in wonderfully early in the evening. Very accommodating and charming.

We stayed here in this hotel at Pentecost. We actually wanted to spend the night in Dresden because we had tickets for the Rammstein concert. However, the hotel prices in Dresden had risen immeasurably, so my daughter booked a room in the Hotel “Zum Goldenen Löwen”. And it was great.Very warm welcome, beautiful large rooms and the breakfast was a dream. There was nothing that didn't exist. The service in the restaurant was very courteous and friendly.The location of the hotel is very central, everything is within walking distance. There are great restaurants nearby. The Ratskeller is particularly recommended, great food and very friendly service.We can definitely recommend this hotel and would like to thank all the staff for a very nice stay.

I was a guest in the house on May 2, 2024 and all of my expectations were far exceeded. Great location of the hotel, top rooms (large and quiet). Very nice staff... including the boss herself. The breakfast was the best I have ever enjoyed in 15 years of traveling nationwide. When I arrived, I visited the restaurant with business friends and had dinner there. Here I was also pleasantly surprised. My business partner from the region knew the hotel and the restaurant, but was also extremely positively surprised. I'll definitely be back.
