I had a wonderful stay at the Pension Königswald. My room was behind the house and so I had peace and quiet. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I slept wonderfully. Breakfast was heartfelt and people asked which drink they wanted to drink. The nature reserve nearby is ideal for hiking

The Pension Königswald is located in the Klotsche district of Dresden, north of the city center of Dresden. This can be reached quickly and easily by tram, which stops directly in front of the house. There is also an S-Bahn station nearby with corresponding connections.The house is family-run and has several different rooms. Some of the rooms have bathrooms across the hall and we had a room with a direct bathroom AND a balcony!The room is on the upper floor and has a small anteroom, which is used as a breakfast room for several rooms in the house. Behind it is the actual room with a double bed, living room table, leather armchair and couch as well as an extra bed and closet. The bathroom is practically furnished with a shower and is quite new and modern. The balcony opens towards the garden, is covered and has three chairs and a table. The double bed has two mattresses and is comfortable. In the room there is a TV and a small refrigerator with contents (beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks), all of which are affordable.The room cannot be completely darkened, but that didn't bother us. Because of the location you can't hear anything from the back. In front there is a (main) street with a tram. The stop is also almost on the doorstep, which is a good connection to downtown Dresden.There are some restaurants and shopping opportunities in the surrounding area. The airport is nearby, but you don't hear anything about it. The heath/forest is right there and you can cycle really well there and you can also get to the northern parts of Dresden like “Weißer Hirsch” with the option of taking the funicular or the suspension railway down. From there you come to the Elbe / “Blue Wonder” bridge.So we were completely satisfied with the privately run guesthouse and the very friendly landlady during the three nights. I would also like to highlight the breakfast, which was really served with love and very nice things in the morning. Thanks

We've been there 4 times. Very very friendly owner. Beautiful old villa, rooms have everything you need. It's clean and great location. Breakfast is very tasty and the breakfast table is lovingly set! We always feel very comfortable.

At first we were a bit confused because there was an anteroom where breakfast was provided for us.But then it was really great. We had very nice rooms and even a balcony. The breakfast was really tasty, lovingly prepared and there was something for everyone. The landlady is very, very nice, has an open ear for questions and is helpful. The stop is opposite and it takes about 20 minutes to get to Brühlschen Terrasse. We thank you for this really lovely stay 😌

This is my third time here and as always, I'm thrilled. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is included and delicious and the owners are incredibly nice. The beds and rooms are freshly made every day, there are sometimes free train tickets to get into the city and every now and then you will find a small chocolate on the bed. This guesthouse is run with so much passion and detail, we love it!

We are totally thrilled...Very nice owners...clean, centrally located...Beds super comfortable...Despite the main road at the front, very quiet at the back with a view of the forest...very balanced, rich breakfast, even enough for packed lunches...Parking spaces available, transport connections on the doorstep...just great.Thank you, we'll be back.
