The Heinrich Schütz House is a building at Frauenstraße 14 (corner of Neumarkt) in Dresden. It is named after Heinrich Schütz, who lived in the house originally located here from 1629 to 1657. It is part of an ensemble of three houses, which also includes the Köhler House. The area is also referred to as Quarter V/2. The children's dance relief frieze from the Renaissance was preserved or reconstructed, which is the counterpart to the Dresden dance of death relief frieze and is again a striking decoration on this corner building.

Living in the Heinrich-Schütz-Haus as a long-term tenant in old age is not suitable because there are no services that an old person needs, even though it is advertised and is correspondingly expensive.||R. …

I can only agree with all the reviews. This was our home during our many stays in Dresden. Unfortunately, my husband passed away in 2019, so all I have left are the beautiful memories of accommodation where nothing was left to be desired!

A concert visit took us to Dresden. We booked a room in the Heinrich Schütz Residence and got an apartment on the top floor with a view of the Neumarkt with the Frauenkirche. …

We were here for the first time and were thrilled by the fantastic location, both close to the Palace of Culture and the Christmas market. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished, although a bit sterile. …

The place was lovely - spacious and clean and staff very kind. Challenges were that most spoke only German (not english or french or spanish or czech which were languages we spoke) and weren't as thorough as we thought (it said daily cleaning which did not happen) and there were additional costs for water in the fridge which we didn't expect. But the location was fabulous!
