The hotel corridors are reminiscent of the film “The Shining”.Gruft is a fitting name for this house. Miserable breakfast with fermented fruit salad, counted slices of sausage... Closed bars, restaurants, fitness rooms.The “positive” reviews such as “great breakfast”, “good service”, “clean and well-kept” are completely incomprehensible and are most likely fake.My room hasn't been vacuumed for 2 days even though the entire carpet is full of feathers from the slowly dissolving duvet. You can't miss that at all. Dishes that are not even used are cleared away by room service. Bathroom is only cleaned very superficially. I left some residue in the bathroom and found it all in the evening.Cobwebs on the lamps, scuffed walls in the hallways, very rickety elevator, musty smell throughout the house.Nope! Not again!If you don't believe it, just read the negative comments recently.Addition: The bathroom in this hotel wasn't wiped once in 5 days. Look at the last photo. The yellow edges were already dry when we arrived and were already pushing up the toilet brush cup. There is NO room service here that is even remotely thorough. All of these excuses from the hotel management are just lying and do nothing to change the catastrophic condition of this hotel.The relevant supervisory authority needs to be informed here!

Beautiful, renovated rooms with good beds.Beautiful lobby with the breakfast area. O.a. waterfall and misc. ponds with koi carp.Breakfast sufficient, but not very extensive (e.g. only boiled eggs and not even every day).Elevator and exterior could use a makeover.Arched windows above balcony doors of rooms on the 4th floor are not fitted with a curtain. If it is light early in the morning, it is light in the room (disadvantage for sleepers who suffer from this).Rooms at the front are quite noisy due to noise from a busy road and the railway line.

An absolute disappointment – never again!My stay in this hotel was really unpleasant. First, we were given a room that had already been given to someone - an embarrassing situation when we tried to enter the room and another guest was standing in front of us.When we finally got a new room, it was in terrible condition. It was still dirty everywhere and we found pubic hair in the shower. Something like that is simply unacceptable! In addition, the patio door was broken so we could hardly open it.The breakfast was very sparse and offered little choice - definitely not what you would expect at this price. I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel!

I stayed here for one night on business and was unfortunately disappointed. The room was in poor condition, the walls were partially damaged and there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway. The worst incident: Colleagues received a room card and discovered that the room was already occupied. The guest was shocked when strangers opened the room door - understandable from my point of view. An absolute no-go. Unfortunately not recommended."

The hotel in Donaueschingen is a comfortable hotel to take a tour of the town. Spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. The problem comes with cleaning them; The bathroom trash can was full from the previous guest and the carpet had some dirt on it. The breakfast buffet is small but rich.

Towels had holes in them, the sink was yellowed, there was yellow limestone in the toilet bowl and the flush seal wasn't completely tight. No ramp for the disabled, toilet in the breakfast area not accessible for wheelchairs and people with walking difficulties! No elevator! Windows couldn't be tilted and the window seal was broken. Breakfast buffet.........was just fine.Staff could be friendlier and more helpful, especially for people with disabilities.This hotel is not a flagship for Donaueschingen.

We have booked a full-speed adventure trip through the Black Forest. There was a buffet in the morning. Was ok. Everything else was away. It is an older hotel and was only used for sleeping. It was ok for that.

A large HOTEL for conferences. I was there privately. In the large entrance hall you have a beautiful view of a fish pond. Behind it is the breakfast buffet. Sufficient in itself if there is no large conference taking place. The room was large and the bathroom was fine. There is no parking on the street. The hotel does have a paid parking garage, which is extremely narrow.

Very dirty hotel. Rooms with uncleaned furniture, dusty tables, remains of dead insects on windows, cobwebs on ceilings. Very dirty carpet, common areas with cobwebs and spiders. We were a group and they didn't do everyone's rooms every day.Very outdated hotel. Very few staff in the hotel. The hotel is not worth it, you cannot understand how the hotel management allows the hotel to be in this condition. Inadmissible!Badly located, the train passes in front of the hotel during the night.The town bell tower rings from 6 in the morning.

I like to publish both good and bad reviews and I give this one 1 star because I can give you 0.I went for 3 days in August and although the rooms are spacious and clean, I had to go down to reception twice to ask for towels since they only left 1 set for 3 people.Regarding the facilities, the cleanliness is non-existent since wherever you go there are cobwebs, spiders, mosquitoes, bees, etc... By the way: what a bad feeling the cribs with used bedding that you find on the way to the rooms, why? In every corner do they have cribs that could be folded and stored somewhere else?Since there is no cafeteria-bar-restaurant service due to limited staff, you have to go to dinner walking to a place almost 800 meters away (thank goodness it didn't rain on us)The breakfast compared to other buffet types was very limited.The recessionist and the two breakfast people were charming but insufficient to be able to serve all the hotel staff.

It is unacceptable that this hotel has 4 stars. Poor breakfast, poor cleaning, many bugs. Heat in the rooms. They provide you with a fan but not even with that. You have to go to dinner 15 minutes from there, it seems like they have it arranged or something like that. They have the hotel leisure area closed, you can't have anything, not a coffee or a simple bottle of water. To not return.

The room was large, nicely decorated and clean. Unfortunately it was very warm when we arrived. With the windows open it was quite loud due to the railway line in front of the hotel. Air conditioning would be nice. The breakfast was very good.

Quite a nice hotel and, above all, cheap.A little note: If you don't really (!!!) know the dimensions of your car well, it's better not to drive into the parking garage.
