I can't say anything about the rooms.When evaluating it, it would make sense to separate the hotel from the restaurant.The food was very high quality and professionally prepared.Very good service.

I wanted to check out after breakfast, but the owner was not yet at reception, she was called and asked if I wanted to wait a while. After waiting 20 minutes and asking 3 times if she was coming, I left money at the counter and left and was late for my appointment.Not customer friendly.

We were there on Mother's Day/Flower Festival and wanted to grab a bite to eat with the gourmet block. Because it was a holiday, this wasn't possible. No problem for us, we still ordered something there.2xBratwurst with potato salad and 2xRadler.The service was very friendly.Then the bratwursts came on a paper plate...No Go....! (in the beer garden)The table next door had real plates!The sausages didn't look good and neither did the taste. Hardly seasoned. Potato salad was ok, but the paper plate was soggy when I cleared it away. Per person for the bratwurst €8...€25 total, including 2 good cyclists! Was it because of that??? that we came with a gourmet block ???What a shame!

We just ate there! The service was very good and so was the food, even though there were 9 of us who didn't arrive until 1 p.m.! Good price-performance ratio! Highly recommended!

After a hike, we arrived at the traditional restaurant and Hotel Riesen in Walldürn around 2:40 p.m. The kitchen closes at 3 p.m. Nevertheless, we were welcomed very friendly by the young lady and shown to a table. The drinks came quite quickly and even after ordering the food it only took a short time and we were given small fresh rolls with tomato spread and garlic butter for free. The main courses were then brought out shortly afterwards. They were convincing both in terms of presentation and taste. Price-performance ratio is definitely right. The €50 for cheese spaetzle and rolled roast and two drinks is definitely worth it. But I would definitely make a reservation around lunchtime.

It was our first time at Restaurant Riesen in Walldürn and we were more than thrilled: we were warmly welcomed by the boss. During the aperitif, an extra request was transformed into a delicious strawberry drink. The side salad for the starter was very tasty and then the main courses - simply fantastic! Fine dining at a completely reasonable price!!! A chocolate dream for dessert and then the surprise of the evening: The boss noticed that my birthday was being celebrated and came completely unexpectedly around the corner with a cake - what an unforgettable evening in a historical atmosphere. 5 stars are still not enough because they deserve more!!! THANKS to the entire giant team - we will definitely come back!!! 😊

Restaurant in an old bourgeois atmosphere, price/performance ratio for food unbalanced. By “with a little salt” I mean a small extra salad plate, but not the salad with dressing on the main course plate.

Well, that doesn't work at all. Rooms or rather, the entire hotel is outdated. Still in the style of the 60s. Wooden floor covered with carpets.Breakfast for a whopping €12 was very, very meager. Hardly anything there and when I asked for normal rolls, they gave me 10 cent baked rolls from the discount store, not cooked through, cold and the rubber dough was not cooked through. Just disgusting (see photo).Internet in the room has been complained about several times, it's bad, but it often breaks down and I can't work. One night it didn't work at all.TV is also weak and many channels are no longer available after 10 p.m. No idea why.So for the prices, way too expensive. Had to be a 2 star hotel. But as the saying goes: "He who climbs high falls low..."

Absolutely perfect service, brilliant food and a very nice atmosphere. Definitely highly recommended!Regarding San K's criticism:Criticizing a business and not even being man enough to give the full name is bottom drawer.You can be happy if there are still restaurateurs who do everything with heart and still offer dishes that you can't get on every corner. As far as the room is concerned, you could have contacted the management directly and they would certainly have been able to help you.Talking helps (most of the time) - except when you don't want to be helped.

Friendly staff but absolutely not recommended in terms of price/performance. Food is advertised at star level and so are the prices. However, the kitchen still has a lot to learn in terms of quality.The rooms are very simple. In our case, the heating was on constantly and couldn't be regulated, so sleep was hardly an option. Only a completely open window overnight brought relief and slowly you could have thought about sleeping if it weren't for the outdated, sagging mattresses that did the rest.My overall summary is therefore not positive. There is still a lot to do if you want to achieve what you already expect with the high prices.

The map was very manageable when we were there. Unfortunately the grill wasn't on, which was a bit disappointing. But the food was absolutely OK in terms of price and quality.
