Centrally and quietly located hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Food super tasty. Big praise to the Klumpp family, who do so much here. I can highly recommend the hotel and would be happy to come back again. 1 star deducted for the room, which was a little dated and a little too small (too much furniture for the size of the room).

We were 5 people, 3 adults and 2 teenagers. Each of us was thrilled. The staff is simply amazing. The Klumpp family really knows what hospitality means. We felt so comfortable. The breakfast had everything you could wish for. There really wasn't anything missing. But dinner was particularly excellent. The wellness was also very great. Oh, I forgot the cakes and tarts were the best. It was a wonderful vacation. Can only recommend it.A special thanks to everyone who made us feel so welcomed.

Very nice hotel...warm hosts...excellent food. We visited for 4 nights and would come back at any time.There are many hiking trails from the hotel...plenty of parking spaces...it was like visiting friends ☺️...100% feel-good factor.

Hello,I was originally a guest for 2 nights. But I liked it so much that I stayed another night.I had a wonderful few days.The staff was very friendly.The rooms were very clean.The food was very tasty.Perfect starting point for hikes.The terrace invites you to linger. Cakes, coffee and soft drinks are available.Thank you for the hospitality.The eagle 😅

We stayed there for one night (from May 7th, 2024 to May 8th, 2024). It is a beautiful hotel in the best, quiet Black Forest location! In the evening we enjoyed a delicious 5-course meal and in the morning a varied, good breakfast! Everything made from fresh ingredients and regional products.Everyone is very friendly and accommodating; our motorcycle was safe and protected from the weather.The bed and bathroom as well as the room size with tasteful furnishings and a very nice, large balcony left nothing to be desired!We will definitely be back for a longer period of time!

Clean and well-kept small family hotel in a very nice and quiet, but also remote location. Friendly service. However, the room and bathroom are outdated. We booked based on the many positive reviews and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. One gets the impression that everything has been shut down. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. there was no staff to be seen and the reception was also unmanned. In parts of the wellness area the lights were only switched on upon request; the water in the pool was too cold, at least for us. The dinner was tasty and sufficient, but there is only a time window of 1 hour to show up and if you didn't arrive until 6:30 p.m., the salad was partly already empty, and a single cheese plate for all guests was usually the same, even if you arrived before that If we were able to secure some cheese for the main course, there was no longer any white bread with it, only country bread. The same goes for the breakfast buffet, which is by no means generous. We didn't see any cakes or, for example, croissants; at 8.30 in the morning there was only canned fruit available.

Actually I shouldn't write here because I'm probably biased. 23 years ago I was a guest for 10 months in this family-run, beautifully located and very well-maintained hotel. I came back for the first time in so long and a lot had changed. Only the hospitality, warmth, the incredibly good food, the still well-kept rooms and the always trying hosts are still there! It was like coming home for a bit!

The rooms are not modern like in a big city, but rather older but comfortably furnished and have enough space. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and with a lot of humor. Great price/performance ratio.In the morning I could decide which dish I wanted to eat in the evening. Changes were no problem and neither was a last-minute cancellation. The food was also incredibly tasty, so I tried a few things that weren't really my cup of tea. Here we cook properly and don't just take them out of the freezer.I vacationed there alone for a week and didn't feel like I had to be alone at all. If you want, you can quickly start a conversation, but it is also possible to keep calm.The wellness area is small and cozy. Very well maintained and completely sufficient for the hotel!The indoor pool is also big enough and I was able to swim there in peace at 7 in the morning and watch the weather outside. The location is great! Lots of nature and hiking trails nearby. The connections to other cities were never a problem either. I didn't feel like a stranger here, but was able to relax very well.The Klumpp family has a great team!
