Wonderful food

The price-performance ratio isn't quite right, I think the dishes are a bit too expensive and there aren't enough parking spaces

Again, very good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

I have never received such an unfriendly welcome in a hotel, the room was nice, but very noisy, you can hear the person next to you snoring.

Very nicely decorated restaurant and rooms in the adjacent guesthouse, friendly owner and staff, stressfree service, located in the midst of lush nature, close to the beautiful city of Altensteig

Very friendly service is combined with a great ambience and very good in-house cuisine! Based on these good experiences, I would recommend the house as a hotel even without having seen the rooms.

Mega delicious food

We recently had dinner there with friends. The food was tasty. However, the boss's rude, harsh tone was not. We were ashamed that we had made a reservation there; I would have liked to disappear under the table. Even though we live nearby, we will definitely avoid this restaurant.

We have never stayed overnight here. We often go to parties there. Like our aunt's big birthday recently because we only live about 15 km from the restaurant. We always call beforehand and discuss everything. This time we were inside at a large table with almost 30 guests.The food is always delicious and there is plenty of everything on the plates.Everything is prepared with attention to detail.I thought the vanilla ice cream with strawberries was absolutely delicious. The vanilla ice cream was really great. The aromatic strawberries were lightly drizzled with a homemade strawberry sauce. There was also cream and a homemade, wafer-thin biscuit made from something with... caramel and with small pieces of almond in the biscuit... which was in the cream as a decoration and was incredibly tasty.The colorfully mixed salad was an absolute culinary delight as an introduction and gave me great expectations for the main course to come.The beef and pork tasted tender and good. The beef was on point. I just don't know what the dish is called because my aunt pre-ordered the food for everyone.In addition, there were delicious croquette pops, fries and spaetzle on the table for self-service. Extra sauce was also placed in jugs on the tables for people to scoop themselves.The outdoor area is beautifully modern and invites you to relax and enjoy culinary delights. We always walked through there to get to the front of the house to smoke.Dogs are also welcome here with their separate water bowl.Inside the restaurant you can discover little stories and wall paintings and pictures everywhere. Everywhere in the restaurant you can discover new, sometimes unusual and stylish decorations.But the friendly, service-oriented waitresses all wear traditional Black Forest clothing, which makes the overall stay for tourists feel like a bit of “experience gastronomy”.The family manages the difficult gap between tradition and modernity excellently.CONCLUSION:A good home-style and extremely tasty Swabian cuisine, which, at second glance, contains a sophisticated touch-up with many exquisite delicacies. From extravagant to bourgeois, there is something for everyone here.
