The budget rooms are not really suitable for people with a dog buggy. The bottom step of the stairs to the bedroom blocks the entrance. Can NOT stand in the bedroom, it is too low.Restaurant is fine and reasonable prices for dining and breakfast is also fine.

Clearly: You get what you pay for! The location is great, very central but quiet, the castle is a 10 minute walk away. The rooms take a bit of getting used to (but I was only in the back building) and the whole style of the hotel is somewhere between bizarre and idiosyncratic. As if Tim Burton was visiting and was forced to design a mix of construction sites and spooky buildings. But seriously: Who decorates their yard with a crane and puts an old car on the roof...? I think I would rather not meet the hotel owners in the dark 😉

I booked for two nights via a platform. The price for it was ok.My room and bathroom were clean. The old furnishings are still functional and have their own eighties charm. The double bed was comfortable and I slept very well in it.The staff was always polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, although the price went up like everywhere else. The location in the center, the private underground car park and the attached brewery are further reasons why I can imagine visiting the hotel again.Regarding the outdated facility, I would like to say that prolonged use also conserves our resources.Perhaps we should also slowly move away from the throwaway society when it comes to hotels and think and act in the long term.

For €58 per night you get a mattress on the floor, in a room where you can't even stand upright! The description stated a single bed (90 x 130 cm), but reception claimed it was a "definition problem" - after all, a mattress is also a bed! They offered to change rooms for an additional charge of €10 per night. However, the alternative room was unhygienic: the previous guest had shaved at the sink and the hair was still in there! So much for hygiene! Absolutely not recommended!

Several guests from my circle of friends have already been to the Hotel Kübler. Most people's opinion: OK for one night. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms and the furnishings of the hotel are in an outdated condition and no longer meet today's standards, which does not justify the sometimes high prices. If many guests are expected in the city because of an event at the castle, the room prices are also increased. The hotel has certainly had its heyday. In my opinion, the only reason why it still has guests is its exposed central location near the castle. A gold mine that the operator is exploiting.

Nice hotel with an associated inn. Friendly service. The rooms were very well equipped, there was air conditioning, which was a big advantage in these temperatures.

My husband and I visited this place while on a cycle trip across Europe. It is an old hotel but very grand. It had old fashioned charm with interesting things scattered around. We had a big room with a canopy over the bed. We had a large bathroom with a bath. It was in a good location for shops, restaurants and cafe bars. We also had storage for our bikes. It had everything you could need. We slept well.

We were in the hotel for work at the trade fair, according to the nameplate of the elevator, built in 1963. Unfortunately, that's what the hotel looked like, something had been done here and there, but it was in urgent need of major renovation. The room was furnished with old furniture, the bed was new but rock hard, cobwebs in every corner, hair on the sink, mold on the dissolving silicone joints. The inner courtyard was half a construction site, partly intentionally with old construction machinery as decoration, there was an underground car park, but it was also more than dilapidated. Reception was nice, breakfast wasn't great, but okay. Thank you, never again.

The room was furnished in an ancient way. Old furniture, simply carelessly furnished. The bed was ok, if you just want to sleep in the room, ok. Grade 5. The bathroom was a little better, but for a hotel grade 4-5. Skylight was leaking and in poor condition. The room was so noisy, I always thought the window was open, but it was closed. Overall, the hotel is getting old. Likewise the underground car park, you definitely have to do something there. Parking is only possible in the underground car park for 9 euros, as parking is only permitted with a resident's permit. The breakfast was great, grade 2. The friendliness of the lady at reception was also good, grade 2. I've been to many hotels, seen a lot, but to be honest I was happy when I was allowed to leave. I completely missed the feel-good factor here. But the hotel is no longer an option for me in the future.
