Because of the location on a major road, I expected noise. This was not the case, on the contrary. The old building of the hotel had been carefully renovated, our room with its high ceilings was generously sized compared to many new hotels, and the sanitary facilities were up to date. The breakfast room, a former guest room, was even more beautiful and wonderfully appropriately renovated. Recommended!

A family-run hotel located in a very beautiful old building from the 19th century. The rooms are furnished with everything you need and correspond to today's times. The subsequent installation of the bathrooms in the rooms was very successful. Not exactly normal for such an old house. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast fully met our needs.In summary: In this building you feel like you have been transported back to the old days.

Been there for three nights. The hotel is an experience. High ceilings old flair, if it doesn't bother you, the "a little color missing" here and there is really great. Great service. Gladly again.

A really great hotel which has an incredibly beautiful charm due to its age. There are so many eye-catchers, e.g. chandeliers, the very old tiles in the stairwell, stained glass panels, etc. Wonderful. We were greeted very friendly. It doesn't get any better. The room was clean and stylishly decorated. The breakfast buffet was attractively prepared and nothing was missing. A parking space could be booked very inexpensively. The car was parked safely in a locked yard nearby. Highly recommended for lovers with sense and style 💗.

Room clean and tidy, mattress excellent. Right in the middle of town and quiet! Parking space can be booked. Staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires. Very satisfied all around! And first of all the furnishings in the wonderful Art Nouveau villa!!!

I felt very comfortable, the room was very clean and comfortable, arrival was easy, the staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast buffet had a large, tasty selection. The castle and the pyramid were easy to reach after a 20 minute walk. The next time I visit Karlsruhe I will book at the Margräfler Hof again. I can only recommend it!

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights this week. Very convenient location for a visitor to KIT south campus, only 5 min walk to the campus. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and professional. Breakfast is excellent. My room was very clean. The hotel is very quite, no disturbing noises from outside. The room had a decent size for a business traveler like me with large desk that makes is convenient working in the room. The bathroom was bit small for me but very clean. Will stay here again during my next visit.

We stayed here for one night because we were going to a concert at Substage and didn't want to drive home.The hotel is getting old, which isn't a bad thing in itself, you just have to be aware of it, and as long as the ambience is right, the rooms are clean, the bathroom is ok and the food is good, I'm fine with it.The mattresses were a bit soft when we first put them in, but we still slept very well without any back pain in the morning. What bothered me was the shower curtain that constantly stuck to my body while showering; a real door would be better.The breakfast was very tasty and in great rooms.The owner very friendly and accommodating. All in all a nice stay.

An older hotel that is already getting on in years, on the outside I was shocked at how it looked, but the rooms were quite OK.Location is about 1.3KM from the center, but unfortunately Karlsruhe is dead in the evening.

Great place to stay in Karlsruhe. It's nice to feel welcome and taken care of. At walking distance from the city center and well connected to tram and S-Bahn. Great breakfast, too.

Individual/business trip: The hotel is centrally located in the city of Karlsruhe, so parking is a disaster. The hotel has 4 parking spaces in the courtyard, all of which were immediately and constantly occupied. The hotel is old! Very nice to look at on the outside, but just as old on the inside and unfortunately completely worn out. It's kept clean, but there doesn't seem to be any more investment. The bed is a disgrace for a hotel! Unfortunately, the most important thing here is also the biggest deficiency. Demanding money to break your back is kind of weird. But the beds are completely worn out and really uncomfortable. Back problems are inevitable after the first night!! A shower curtain is an absolute no-go in hotels these days! Showering in a more unhygienic way is hardly possible. The showers weren't clean either. A disgusting, uneasy feeling when showering and especially with this small shower, it is not possible to "escape" the approaching shower curtain. You won't find a cooling option (minibar). A musty, damp smell hangs in the air. You will also find neither a full-length mirror nor a trash can in the room itself. (Apart from the small ones in the bathroom). The rooms are not nice or even comfortable. You can tell that no money is being invested in the renovation. The "slim" breakfast was lovingly prepared, but the selection was quite limited. Eggs or scrambled eggs were only available upon request. (but then freshly prepared). There were no sausages, bacon or other international breakfast items. The coffee from the coffee machine tasted excellent. A medium bakery breakfast in terms of overall size to categorize. The lady who ran the hotel alone was nice and friendly, but not always present. I couldn't see any more staff. All in all, a hotel that cannot be recommended. Price performance is simply not justified!

Very well-kept rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Modern, very clean bathroom.Good breakfast buffet. The floors in the rooms are a bit creaky, but very nice rooms. Staff very friendly and competent.Location is great, train stop nearby.

Very nice hotel, it is well located (close to the center) and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Breakfast was varied. The best thing is definitely the owners who run the place: they are both kind, friendly and attentive. The only thing missing is to give a little love to the façade of the building.

Well located if you have to go to Fraunhofer or KIT.One of the mattresses was very worn, but I was lucky because it was a double room for single occupancy.Service was super nice, but unfortunately not always present. Breakfast OK.
