Really well done and cozy hotel. The operators are extremely nice and accommodating. The rooms, like the entire house, are very tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast is served at the table, very good selection and tasty.From the hotel, trips by car or especially by bike to Baden-Baden or Strasbourg are very possible.

I think we were a bit unlucky with our room. It was quite dark and stuffy as it only had one window which you could only tilt. Low ceilings.Slightly musty air in the room and bathroom.Thank God there was nothing going on in the courtyard, otherwise there would have been other guests sitting right in front of the window.Bed was too soft for us, mattress a bit sagging. Bedding was good.There is air conditioning (mobile box) in the room, but this device is so loud that you can hardly use it. Not allowed to sleep.I was missing a full-length mirror in the room.Water + coffee available in the room free of charge.Great toiletries from Jean&Len in the bathroom. That's great!The hotel is in a quiet location, we were able to park for free in the carport. Access a bit narrow with a large SUV.In 2 minutes you can walk to the pedestrian zone and have a variety of restaurants to choose from.Breakfast is served at the table and is beautifully prepared. Tasted very good. Eggs were freshly prepared for us upon request.Nice table by the window and nice music in the background. We liked it.Host friendly.All in all a nice boutique hotel and the upstairs rooms with more windows are certainly more pleasant.There is a dog in the hotel. He is present at check-in and in the restaurant. That as a note. You don't expect it.

A spontaneous overnight stay and really pleasantly surprised. A house with an exciting history and a lovely host couple. The room was absolutely great and the breakfast was exactly to my taste...I recommend the coffee from the great machine. The shower gel and soap are anything but run-of-the-mill and you can tell from the details that the guest is in the foreground. Thank you and I'll be happy to come back.

We stayed for one night in this property, which we highly recommend, for a relaxing stay, where everything is taken care of in detail. Furnished with care and taste, very spacious room, bright bathroom, with very large shower, full, quality breakfast. Thorough cleaning. Parking, adjacent, included in the price. Very kind owners.

Very friendly welcome, beautiful restored half-timbered house, old and new come together adequately. The breakfast was plentiful and specific requests were addressed. We also highly recommend reading the very old history of the house and how it got its name. We would love to be guests here again.

It felt like we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel.We have stayed professionally in many hotels all over the world and have seen many nice hotels, but this little gem exceeds all expectations: it is a beautifully restored house, light, fresh and very cozy, furnished with great taste, modern and with beautiful accents - note the lamps - without detracting from the charm and beauty of the original x-year old building.The location of the hotel is a nature lover's dream. Nestled near the Black Forest, it provides easy access to breathtaking hikes and scenic trails. The beauty of the surroundings is matched only by the tranquility that envelops the hotel.A special mention must be made of Oreo, the adorable canine companion of Ushi and Rex. Oreo's friendly presence added an extra layer of homeliness to the atmosphere.Our room was beautiful, cozy, spacious and pleasant, we had everything you could wish for to quench your thirst: fresh drinks, a stylish kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker. It was nice to start your day in the beautiful bathroom with its wonderful rain shower.And then you come to breakfast: extensive, everything you could wish for, with only fresh and tasty ingredients, prepared and served with affection and to your liking by the owners.
