Positive: great view, nice to sit. Staff friendly.Negative:Soup with egg = 11.50 euros. For the price you have the expectation that it might be something special. Well, it was a broth with egg. Nothing more and nothing less, neither bread nor baguette was served, which should actually be considered standard for a restaurant like this, right? Main course spaghetti with porcini mushrooms = 35.00 euros. What came was a handful of spaghetti, which was also quite dry (perhaps intentional?). However, the porcini mushrooms and some parmesan didn't save it either. Unfortunately disappointing. The dessert “Kaiserschmarrn” was quite good and luckily it filled me up a bit.In summary: The price/performance ratio is not justified. Some dishes were ok. But for the money you can eat much better in the area. Unfortunately, you also pay for the beautiful view here.Of course: it's purely a matter of taste. :-)

Beautiful location and very nice view. Unfortunately it was too hot to walk when we were there; 34C. Unfortunately it was just as hot in the room as outside despite the fan.Prices for food and drinks were high.

My visit to Windeck Castle was a real highlight. The fantastic view from high above was simply breathtaking. The dignified furnishings of the restaurant have acquired some patina in a friendly way, which gave the place a special charm. The meal was a delight for both the palate and the eye. The dishes were excellent and lovingly presented. The staff was friendly, warm and cheerful, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I found the laughter from the kitchen particularly impressive, which showed that people enjoy working here. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience that has its price, but is worth every euro. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Windeck Castle.

I was both privately for dinner and at a beautiful wedding at Windeck Castle and the taste, service and location/view are simply great! I think I was most impressed by the service staff and also the boss. They were courteous, always absolutely warm and friendly and honestly tried to implement every wish. Immediately afterwards comes the amazing food and the unbeatably awesome dessert - I'll be dreaming about that for a while ❤️🤩🥹

The location is simply great. We didn't have a room, we "just" ate there. It's super cozy and the seasonal menu is great. The only thing that deducts a star is that it's a little more expensive, but even if you don't want to spend that much money, you'll find something to fill you up and please your palate. The homemade cakes are of course flawless and always recommended.

The location is something special, without any ifs or buts. The hotel is small and nice, my room was certainly not very modern, as one might have liked. It still had its own charm, just because of the view if you had the room at the back like I did.The room seems a bit oppressive due to the dark wooden furniture, but it was somehow transported back in time and that had something.Taken back in time, so to speak.I was all the more surprised, in a positive sense, about the sauna area, as it was always for me alone (1.5 hours per guest per day).Likewise, there was NOTHING missing at breakfast, from friendly service to selection. It's ideal with a dog because there are plenty of walking paths. It was really nice to spend a few days there and the crowning glory was the unique sunset 🌅
