I stayed at Hotel Holiday Inn for 4 nights with family during my recent Mannheim visit.The hotel location is superb with a direct entry to the Mannheim Hbf South entrance. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and very well maintained. The rooms are sound proof and you don't hear the disturbance due to the station in vicinity. The reception and dining area is spacious as well with good aesthetics.The breakfast spread was vast and they baked gluten free breads on demand, due to my gluten intolerance. They had a good combination of cold cuts and warm servings.Overall, a good option if you are looking to stay in close vicinity of the train station.

Right at the main station.rooms are comfy and clean.breakfast was good enough.you can get shaver or cream etc from reception.at night time, the other side of station is very dark and deserted.

Top location at the train station, nice, large room (executive room). However, the bathroom has a bit too little storage space for the size of the room (see photo).

I truly like this place, it’s a relatively new structure, super clean with high maintenance. The location is great- just at the central station where you can take the underground tunnel to arrive directly at the back entrance of the hotel. Although it is close to the train station it has a great noise isolation and you cannot hear anything inside the room. Beds are comfortable, the stuff is nice and helpful. I prefer coming back to this hotel than other places in the area. Nice lobby menu with vegetarian options.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with no complaints at all.Clean bath and bed with TV, kettle and wall mounted AC control panel.They have the nicest English speaking staff.Complimentary breakfast was really good. Nice spread with different varieties of bread, meat, cereals, pancakes, coffee and other pastries.They were kind enough to hold our luggage for 3 days when I travelled to another city.

Receive discounts as an IHG member. The location opposite Mannheim main train station and the proximity to Glücksteinpark is perfect. Spacious, quiet room with a view of the beautiful city of Mannheim. Gladly again.Very good location. Was able to redeem my points.

I had an extremely bad experience with the hotel. While checking in I was forced to pay a deposit for 2 rooms. My deposit was 400€ extra payment. Staff completely refused to show me where I can read what I'm paying for. It's not written on any platform and not mantioned anywhere. I really doubt it's even legal. A simple question where is it written and what kind of payment is it-led to a hotel's manager rudeness and answer: if you don't like it - you can leave.I will try to make this situation public and contact the main office. Also I will try to inform something like a hotel association of Germany (or a simular organization) to make sure it's even legal.

What is really true is the strikingly positive smell in the hotel!! I just checked in today and I have to say the reception was super nice and everything was super clean and modern! What I am complaining about so far is the service at the bar, you feel a bit overwhelmed or helpless with where should I sit, I still want to eat, where should I sit! Let's see how the rest of the week turns out! But overall a top hotel and worthy of 4 stars!!! Gladly again

Great, new hotel located directly at the train station. However, there is construction work going on right outside the front door, but luckily you don't hear anything about it in the room. Dogs for free, a special star in front of it!!

The hotel is really only a few steps away, i.e. about ten meters from the south exit of the main train station.Despite being close to the train station and within sight of it through our window, there were no noises to be heard from there.The whole house seems to be quite new.The breakfast was overpriced and had the least selection compared to the other hotels of the same chain we visited in the last three months.It was nice that the restaurant was open all day and, in addition to the usual menu, also had a season menu. However, the asparagus from the spring menu was quite tasteless, we had to wait a long time for service despite (or perhaps because of?) the almost empty restaurant and unfortunately several parts of the order were delivered incorrectly.

We were in Mannheim because of the animagic and through the hotel package we stayed at the Holiday Inn. We arrived by train and the location is great. All you have to do is go through the tunnel and you'll be in front of the entrance when you go back up. An S-Bahn line is only about 2 minutes away from the hotel.The hotel, from the foyer to the hallways to the rooms, looks very nice and cozy. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable soft bed, good TV. There is even an ironing board and iron. The air conditioning was also quite good. It just took longer to cool down on the day of arrival because it was only slightly on in the afternoon when we arrived and it was very warm that day.The breakfast was good. It had no special features, there was a different selection of bread and rolls, there was a lot of selection of cheese but only a little of sausage. You could also have a little something sweet, such as a croissant, chocolate rolls, mini donuts, mini muffins, etc. There was also plenty of muesli available. But what I was missing was warm cocoa. You could draw milk from the coffee machine, stir in cocoa powder and make warm or cold cocoa, but that is not the same as using it from the machine. I also missed the bacon with the scrambled eggs. The breakfast tasted good.

Holiday Inn is right next to the train station exit (too convenient!) Surprised at how new and clean and modern the room is. Common area is well designed. Breakfast is amazing! I have only positive things to say about this stay!

Pretty new HI. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK but the scrambled egg looked not really delicious. I don't see much difference between hi and hiex anymore except for the room size.Con: no fridge in roomEdit 2024: no more salmon at bf, also other items missing.

Hotel right next to the main station and parking garage next door with a spacious room and good soundproofing from the street, comfortable bed and a sufficiently large bathroom. Breakfast is priced at the limit, but there are plenty of alternatives.
