We affectionately call it the Hotel of Horrors! *epic pause and thunderstorm and wild lightning*It was an emergency solution at the time of the trade fair. After entering the bright hallway full of beautifully decorated trash and dirt, we were greeted by a poorly German-speaking beauty in a bathrobe. She told us with a lot of suspense in her words what room number we had and quickly took the agreed money from us before we could even see the luxury rooms. She then disappeared forever into the depths of the building. So then! We entered our luxury home. Impressions that we had never experienced before became reality. So many smells hit us at once when we entered the house. Grass, musty, stink, fast food and smell passed through our nasal extinguishers. An explosion for every fine nose. After making our way through the floors we arrived at the rooms. Old wasn't an expression at all, but rather antique. And we don't want to be unfair, the condition was immaculate. Extinguishers in the walls, shower walls breaking out, black mold on windows, joints, walls. The whole thing was lovingly decorated with years-old spider webs. I have never experienced so much attention to detail in any accommodation before. The absolute highlight was when we opened a refrigerator in a room. The smell was unique, o de perfume at the highest level. There was also continuous sound with integrated speakers built into the walls. At one o'clock in the morning you could still listen with excitement to Ali Baba Bach's Ode to Joy. “Oh” and “Ah” kept coming from the next room! A dream. This performance by the actor was absolutely unbeatable. You could watch the acting for hours while the world-famous song “A man who calls himself Collumbus, widde widde wid bum bum” played in the background. After the concert ended at 2 a.m., the big encore actually started at 6 a.m. Our morning started with a lot of “oohs and aahs”. Since we quickly packed our things and fled the hotel the next day, we unfortunately don't know how long the concert lasted, but we can say it was definitely worth every cent.If you regularly watch RTL at lunchtime, this hotel is an absolute must for every lover of German art. Experience the record live once and on a budget. You can imagine how disappointed we were when we stayed in a real hotel the next day with chocolate on the pillows, a shower without the great embellishment of black mold and freshly laundered bed linen. That was no longer a comparison to this adventure.A little travel tip for the Hotel of Horrors:I don't know if you've ever watched a documentary about bed bugs and how you can easily take them home with you. Just don't think about it there and just sleep. Then it also works without any problems with sleep. Now that we are safely back in our own four walls, we doused all of our belongings with gasoline and burned them. Because I doubt we'll ever get that wonderful smell from our clothes again.Oh yes, the heaters don't work in any of the rooms. This meant you could even experience the famous musical “Frozen” live in concert directly on site.In the upper rooms it was absolute fun to swim, it smells wet, the walls are black! We are all sick now but it was worth it.Thank you for the wonderful stay and the absolutely positive impression of Leipzig and the east of Germany.Always happy

It's better if you don't book it. For us it was an emergency solution because our air bnb for the book fair was spontaneously canceled. Unfortunately there was nothing else available. Broken, dirty, outdated. Very nice people, but it's disgusting to be here
