We are guests at the court concert in the Eisenmühle for the sixth time. It's always a wonderful, great experience. We always combine this weekend with trips to Leipzig or other nearby destinations worth seeing. The breakfast is prepared very lovingly and individually. Particularly noteworthy is the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts.

Been there for Mill Day. Everything was very nice, with a lot of effort we put together something great. Only the Oktoberfest prices for food were completely exorbitant. 10€ for a tarte flambée, amazing...

I was there for Mill Day. Lots of craft stalls. Great atmosphere. A portrait in honor of Margrave Wiprecht von Groitzsch was unveiled and celebrated accordingly. Thanks to the organizer.Mite cheese.Visual and report on the production.Remembrance of my grandma.This used to be practiced in the Altenburg region.Thanks to the "Obermite" from Würschwitz.I'll be coming to the museum soon.Call beforehand for an appointment.Have I bought cheese? Sure, of course!

We went on a bike tour with our grandchildren on the Elster and arrived at the Eisenmühle on the afternoon of July 10, 2023. We received a very friendly welcome from Mrs. Mucheyer. While we were freshening up, Mrs. Mucheyer reserved a table for us in a restaurant. We were very satisfied with the rooms and the breakfast and can highly recommend the Eisenmühle. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the iron mill is also a museum and that guided tours are offered.

We only spent one night in the Mucheyer family's guesthouse, but that in no way affected the friendly and friendly communication. All wishes were made possible without exception. I would like to thank you very much for this flexibility and willingness and can recommend this guesthouse without reservation (: and wish the Mucheyer family all the best.

We had 2 rooms over the weekend. Very lovingly designed country guesthouse, the details of the renovation and the coordination with old materials are perfect. The breakfast was very loving and varied.The museum tour of the iron mill and the exhibition of mechanical musical instruments are unique.We'd love to come back. I wish the Mucheyer family all the best.

Great accommodation for cyclists in the southern Leipzig areaI was traveling with my grandson and he was also impressed by the beautiful decor, the breakfast and the very friendly innkeepers.Recommended museums for tech freaks

The Mucheyer couple created today's Eisenmühle technical cultural monument with great attention to detail, a lot of time and patience (and probably a good chunk of money) and something that is second to none.As far as I know, it is the last remaining iron powder mill in Germany. In 2015, the Eisenmühle was officially opened as an event location, museum and country guesthouse.The Iron Mill Museum can be visited all year round.Interesting, exclusive tours of the historic hydroelectric power plant and the museum of iron powder production are offered, which you should definitely take part in.Additionally definitely recommended:The local museum for mechanical self-playing musical instruments, which the owner of the house has built up over the years. Small and large exhibits such as music boxes, barrel organs, orchestras and much more can be admired, and a number of curiosities have also found a new home here.It's amazing how extensive specialist knowledge Mr. Mucheyer has and how he shares it with the participants of the tours. No question remained unanswered, which made the tours very individual. My express thanks for this.I was completely thrilled and will definitely come back

For today's Mill Day - a visit to the iron mill in Elstertrebnitz and the small but fine jukebox museum of the time, accompanied by a court festival.A very interesting mill. Here, grain is not ground into flour, but rather iron filings are made from iron, all using water power.Definitely worth a trip 👍
