I was with a friend from the 20th-21st. September in the “Alte Messe” guesthouse. The booking went quickly and easily. When we entered our room, we thought we were dreaming, everything was there, fridge, microwave, kettle... very, very clean and when we entered the bathroom there was even a sauna!! !Incredible for the price. In the morning we found a lovingly laid breakfast table in the dining room with everything our hearts could desire. We had very nice table neighbors and blessed conversations. We were allowed to sit as long as we wanted. We will definitely come back.Wish the host family we with all our hearts strength and God's blessing🌈

The accommodation will probably be equipped with donated furniture. Windows cannot be tilted, shared toilets from the deepest GDR times and outside the rooms, only cold water at the sinks, mattresses are very bad, shared kitchen. Environment and in the house very loud. Shopping market in the immediate vicinity. All in all, not necessarily recommended or for people with very little budget or for young people. Review posted for a friend!

Yes, there is still GDR charm in the room furnishings and the breakfast room has been preserved in its original condition since the fall of the Berlin Wall. But that is exactly what is a plus point thanks to the loving care and design. The rooms are very large and clean, have excellent beds and enough storage space. We were thrilled with the breakfast, which was always freshly prepared for us. The communication with the hosts was excellent and problem-free in advance of our trip (we had to cancel a room because a fellow traveler canceled at short notice). The warm and open manner of the hosts was very pleasant. The plus points of the guesthouse are the central location, the Battle of the Nations Monument, which is within walking distance, and the proximity of public transport stops. Free parking spaces for guests and neighboring shopping opportunities are, in addition to the affordable accommodation costs for Leipzig, also a reason to stay here.We don't need a star level. A good bed, comfortable seating, a spacious bathroom, a flat-screen TV and the excellent breakfast were enjoyed by everyone in our group and would let us book the accommodation again.

I've been going to this guesthouse with my sister for about seven years. Every time to the book fair. We were never negatively disappointed.Sometimes there are minor difficulties in the first few years. However, the operators solved it quickly and easily every time.Uncomplicated is a good keyword. This guesthouse exudes a certain old charm. The rooms are clean and functional (there are even free towels. I don't know that from every guesthouse). The shared bathroom is small but still comfortable. Like the kitchen.Breakfast is amazing every time! I'm happy every time I can enjoy it. I actually never eat a big breakfast, but you can't say no here.Coffee or tea, rolls, yoghurt, and meat and cheese on request. And if you have an extra request, feel free to ask. They tried to fulfill it. Most of the time it works :)As I said, not everything went smoothly over the years. Once we had no TV reception and someone took something from the communal fridge. However, that is also a bit of a risk with such a pension.(And for the guests, the hosts canHowever, I would recommend this guesthouse to everyone. No matter whether young or old, living alone or with family.I love this guesthouse and am happy to have been their guest for so long. And back then, a good seven years ago, it was still an emergency solution because all the guesthouses and hotels were too expensive or fully booked.Give the guesthouse a chance :)

I am very disappointed and cannot understand the positive reviews here at all. The booking was uncomplicated and was carried out over the phone. On site the path took us to an old prefabricated building that has already seen its best years. There are several facilities in the building, including a school. When we found our room, the door was open and the key was on the table. Immediately after entering we noticed a strong, very unpleasant stench, which didn't get any better with extensive ventilation. The room was old and completely worn out. Not at all comparable to the photos on the homepage. The TV didn't work, neither did the sockets on the bed and the electrics in the bathroom fan were exposed. When booking I asked about the breakfast offered, this is probably not possible on the weekend and I was referred to the shared kitchen. This kitchen is an imposition and absolutely unhygienic. When we wanted to go to the accommodation at night, we found ourselves standing in front of locked doors. It was cold, raining and no one could be reached by phone. Only after a while did someone from the house open the door. There was no information about how to get into the building and that you needed a chip. Although this was attached to the federal government, it could also have passed for a trailer.I communicated all of this to the host on the guest card and asked for a discount. Nevertheless, I have now received the complete bill. For the same money I could have stayed in a hotel a few hundred meters away.I'm not very picky when it comes to accommodation but this was an imposition and I'm incredibly disappointed. I can only advise against staying overnight here.

I stayed here for 7 nights. Rooms spacious, clean and full of surprises. I had a double room with a sauna in the bathroom. Who has that? The Möschen family is always available and always friendly. I'd love to come back.Keep it up.
