Beautiful small family-run hotel with cute, very cozy rooms. The hostess has a passion for decorations and offers them for sale. So if you like something, take it with you straight away. Nice idea.Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the food, but the menu reads fantastic and the reviews certainly speak for themselves.That was a nice, relaxing stay. Gladly again at any time!

My husband and I came here for a short vacation from the big city to relax and we were attracted to this beautiful guesthouse based on the pictures. We were warmly welcomed and given a short tour of the guesthouse. Our room was very comfortable and above all clean. There were enough towels and everything was generally taken care of. We also had breakfast there in the morning, we are vegetarians and there was a good selection of fresh fruit and delicious coffee. We were offered several times to buy new things especially for us (vegan alternatives, etc.) and everyone was very understanding and accommodating. The staff is really top notch.You simply feel comfortable and in good hands here. The sauna was also great, pure relaxation.We are very happy about our lovely stay and would certainly come again :)!

We spontaneously stopped off on the Elbe cycle path. What luck! The service is top notch, the staff are incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, the room is great. We'll be back!

We were here about a week ago, around 2:15 p.m.Since we were on a big bikepacking tour, we didn't really pay attention to the time and wanted to have a normal lunch.Actually, the kitchen would have been closed for 15 minutes, but we were still allowed to order completely from the menu.The food was very well made and super tasty. Really a recommendation that people are very happy to make. Located directly on the Elbe cycle path and therefore highly recommended for anyone passing by. Park your bike and the overall service is absolutely excellent. Everyone is there with love and enthusiasm.And even if you don't want to stay overnight, you should at least treat yourself to the restaurant.Finally no convenience products. No, it's really all handmade.

Very nice accommodation with loving, detailed decoration. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was rich. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant very much. The bikes were safely stored in a lockable room with charging facilities.

We were served wonderfully warmly, openly and even out of line. Unfortunately we were way too early and didn't know that Schmidtalien doesn't open until 5 p.m. Nevertheless, we were served. Gladly again!

Anyone who doesn't know Schmidtalia has "slept out" the world. This gem is located not far from the Elbe cycle path in Dommitzsch. The food is excellent and far away from the usual gastronomy. Breakfast is a sight to behold. The service is unbeatable. Nice, friendly, accommodating and makes the impossible possible. Anyone who wants to sleep here will feel comfortable in the lovingly designed rooms. And ..."if a woman wants to shop" there are lots of decorations to buy. So perfect all around. We've been coming here for years. Know the surroundings by bike from the “FF”. And if you're not exhausted, you can go into the small sauna and continue sweating.Dear Schmidtalien team...keep it up.We are always happy to come to you.Greetings from Leipzig from K&M
