I spent 16 days in the hunting lodge to get my hunting license. So here is the rating of the accommodation:The hunting lodge is incredibly rustic and designed with love. you can't stop looking everywhere and asking questions. From the safari lounge with ostrich, antelope and giraffe to the polar bear in the sauna.The food was outrageous! Outrageously good and lots of it! The food was extremely fresh, there was a lot of game from our own hunt and Thai specialties. The portions and taste couldn't be beat.The rooms ranged from the Jägerstube, a simple single room (perfect for me as a student), to the Reitersuite, which was like your own apartment. Every room was cleaned every day upon request and there was a flat screen TV in every room (for those who care about that).The castle is very quiet and you have to be prepared for the hunting dog to greet you and the knight's armor to greet you at the door, it is just a hunting lodge. All in all, I would repeat the stay 1:1.Thank you for the great time and good accommodation!

Beautiful hunting lodge with Ernest Hemingway flair with really great food!From Thai to game specialties, simply a dream. Anyone looking for a dignified and unusual ambience is in good hands here.

Rating restaurantThe ambience of the hunting lodge is very appealing, and the restaurant offers meals that are close to star cuisine. I have never eaten as delicately as I do here before - game, fresh, of proven origin, in a variety of forms. A clear recommendation for me!

Today my husband wanted to show me the school from his childhood, I knew it was a manor house. We were pleasantly surprised when we were led into the hunting lodge after the bell rang and received a very warm welcome... beautiful. We are closed in the garden Had lunch and were pleasantly surprised for the second time. We had a very nice conversation with the chef, who prepared very tasty Thai dishes for us. The menu promises even more delicacies, so we will come back.

More appearance than realityWe had reserved, but when we rang the bell at the locked entrance door we were greeted very cautiously. We were taken without asking! into the garden. There were two people sitting on the terrace who didn't return our greeting; it turned out that they were the boss of the house. The lady in service seemed very demanding, but was very friendly. The vegetarian Thai dish came with a noticeable smell of fish sauce, the answer from the kitchen was that in Thai cuisine everything is cooked with fish sauce 🫣 - but it was then cooked again. Unfortunately, in the meantime the others had almost finished eating. The venison fillet was perfectly cooked. In contrast to the peculiar French fries. You prepare these in the hot air fryer. Shortly before 10 p.m. we wanted to order a coffee at the end, but unfortunately that wasn't possible as the machine had already been cleaned. When we paid, the waitress said she had made us another coffee, but it would have taken longer.In short, it's not surprising that we were the only guests on a beautiful summer evening.It's a shame, the atmosphere would be really nice!

Unfortunately no one answered the phone during opening hours, so we went straight there. Unfortunately, the reception was absolutely strange. After ringing the bell, a lady opened the door to us with the door half open & we were totally confused as we thought it was a closed party.Instead of welcoming us, or explaining the current situation to us nicely, or offering us something nice, we were brushed off at the door, basically the door was closed in our faces & we were told to come back later "at some point". We've never been more confused by a restaurant than we were tonight.

Two people drove up directly on their bikes.At the time, a suite was offered on Booking.com and 2 double rooms were offered on Expedia.Lt. According to the employee at the hotel, all the rooms are gone and have already been taken out of the internet.We couldn't drink anything at 4 p.m. despite the restaurant being open.We then drove on when the rain started.Now, 2 1/2 hours later, the rooms are still on offer on the portals.It could be an oversight, but it has an aftertaste.Thanks to the previous history, we cannot provide any information about the rooms, facilities and restaurant.
