We were here during a bikepacking tour and had a great time in the rooms. The location is quiet and the room with a north-facing window was pleasantly cool despite the summer heat.

The basic concept is really great. A welcoming, really attractively designed small hotel.Our room (7) was comfortably furnished and was probably renovated not too long ago.The communal kitchen is awesome! But you can also enjoy breakfast at the bakery: about 4 minutes away on foot.Even if the house is a bit in the middle of nowhere: you can get directly from the train station with bus lines 1, 2 & 3 to the "Strelitz Alt - Alex" stop (directly in front of the bakery). From there it's a 4-minute walk.Several people have complained that their room wasn't warm. Unfortunately, we had to experience that too. So our actually very good impression was somewhat clouded. (we were there in January) It could be so simple: the heaters (in our rooms) were simply not vented - they only got a few centimeters warm. With the right tools it only takes 5 minutes.We didn't really have a problem with it - but it should be CLEARLY stated on both the homepage and the booking portals that street shoes are not allowed anywhere in the house. Then you could, for example, bring stopper socks (or slippers?) (not only that it will be less cold then - walking down the smooth wooden stairs in stockings: that can be damn eye-catching...

We had booked two rooms, one as a single and the other as a double room (rooms 3 and 8). Both rooms were great and excellently equipped. We particularly liked the common room with the fully equipped kitchenette. Also worth mentioning is the trust market, where you can get drinks and food for little money.The surroundings aren't that great now, and the "stupid rooster" that screams in the morning belongs in the soup :-))We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back.
