We spent one night there. We had booked a suite. The pictures on the website were very promising. But reality quickly came. The pictures were probably taken by a professional. Unfortunately, there isn't much emphasis on cleanliness either. Dust everywhere, hair from the previous tenant in the bathroom. I coughed terribly all night. The owners are very nice, but definitely a bit overwhelmed. Didn't see any staff either. The facility is a hodgepodge. Unfortunately there isn't even a refrigerator. All in all disappointing.

Very big cinema. The owners of the hotel are not only friendly, but you feel like you are part of the family. Thank you for the nice short vacation. I can only recommend it, simply great.

We were guests in this “hotel” for 2 nights, unfortunately the entire kitchen that was installed was “not intended for use”, including the refrigerator that didn’t work either. Everything in the room was messed up and totally dirty, really old dirt! The bedside lamps were only decorative as there wasn't even a socket behind the bed. The fittings in the bathroom were not only ancient but also completely filthy. The breakfast was below standard and totally inadequate for the price we paid. The “terrace” in the room was not accessible because the wood was broken and the wood was so slippery that you couldn’t walk on it. Unfortunately, the specified WiFi didn't work either, not slowly but not at all. In and of itself it would be a really nice location but the state of maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, we would never vacation here again, unfortunately it was a total failure for us.

A very small, fine, family-run hotel with a large - as the name suggests - parish garden.The owners are super friendly and accommodating!The breakfast is great, and sometimes they also cook for the guests in the evening.All in all - we would like to come back :-)

Not only are rooms in need of renovation, but they were pretty dirty. Really old dirt in the corners including mold in the bathroom. Everything put together. In the mini shower, a taller person almost hits the ceiling. Blind broken, so one window had to stay light. The welcome cookie had expired for six months. Breakfast was OK, but nothing more. It's fine for a day or two if you just need somewhere to sleep and can't see past poorly cleaned corners.

My partner & I came across this wonderful, cozy guesthouse via Groupon.We love the peace and nature. So for nature lovers who have no problem cycling or driving a few kilometers, it's perfect.At the guesthouse we were able to rent bicycles or e-bikes for the whole day for a small extra charge.The rooms were clean and lovingly, but at the same time modernly furnished. The waterbed was very pleasant & another little highlight.On the first day we were the only guests & we were offered freshly cooked food.However, we decided to go to Malchow, the closest town.As a tip for good food, we can definitely recommend the fish restaurant “zum Forelle”. 1.5km towards the water from the guesthouse. The fish is fresh & very tasty.The breakfast in the guesthouse was really delicious. Several types of fresh, warm rolls, different types of sausage and cheese, a boiled egg and some vegetables. There were also sweet options.The lady at the reception was very personable. Her charisma was very positive & friendly. This of course increased our feel-good factor enormously. :)We'd love to come back.

Alt-Schwerin is not such an attractive place. The neighboring town of Plau am See is nicer. It's only a 30-minute drive to Waren an der Müritz. This is also a magical place

Our spontaneous weekend stay in the old rectory was a very special experience. The new owners welcomed and pampered us very warmly. The hotel has an idyllic, quiet location. Particularly suitable for cycling, swimming or hiking. The room was lovingly furnished and the breakfast was even served with homemade jam and fresh eggs.

Very nice owners, good breakfast, helpful according to the motto, the guest should feel comfortable. They helped us a lot because our fat guy (Volvo) was on strike, and in the end he and we were picked up by the “Groth” HH towing service.Mr. Kühnel drove my husband to Malchow because that was the only place we could withdraw cash. Great pension holder. The driver from the towing service “Meffi” was 👍 😘, We will definitely spend another vacation in the old rectory when our fat man is healthy again, even if we were their problem children ☺️.Anita and Marhias
