We felt very comfortable. The room was attractive and bright and modernly furnished.The breakfast was very tasty and nothing was missing.Centrally on the front row you were in the middle of everything and very close to shops and cafés and restaurants.It was a few steps to the beach but always right on the water, it was a nice walk of about 10 minutes.

Nice hotel in a central location, unfortunately the rooms at the back are extremely loud, no ventilation, no air conditioning, so windows open and no sleep! There is a lack of services such as a restaurant, bar, wellness area, etc. - unfortunately nothing is offered there!

If you politely ask if you can get a double room for a single price; or you could take breakfast out of the price (since you have to leave very early in the morning), that could get you on a "black list". :)So, on a Saturday in March 2024, I had a decent room (#412) or suite with a small kitchen all to myself, as only this category was available. The breakfast I had there was also good.Looking back, the price of €125/night was obviously a real bargain.Because I often have to do work in Travemünde and asked for a room twice in the following months; and it would have been 160-220€ for a normal double room. Yes, of course, in high season. In any case, I basically refused; that it would be too expensive for me; After all, that suite would have only cost €125 during our last stay.When I recently inquired about availability, I was told I was on a “BLACK LIST” and could therefore no longer get a room there.When asked the most obvious question - why - the computer noted that I had tried to “depress the price”. Oh well. And I didn't leave the room tidy last time I stayed.The latter can only be a pretext or nonsense; otherwise this would have been revealed to me beforehand. In any case, it was only one night and the room was completely fine when I left.

We were given a suite at short notice over the weekend in high season.The reservation went perfectly.My request to be able to get into the booked room earlier because we would be arriving in the morning was implemented perfectly.The reception was very friendly and informative.The suite was very nice, very clean and lovingly furnished.There was a kettle with coffee powder, tea, sugar and milk in the room.At our request, a table was set outside for breakfast.The breakfast buffet was very rich. With various breads and rolls, muesli, fruit, cold cuts.Everything was always replenished.And, what I experienced for the first time in a hotel there, they served a whole pot of coffee to the table.The filter coffee was very good.We will spend our next vacation in Travemünde there again.In short: A very good hotel with a very good and friendly team.

Very well located hotel with very competent and friendly staff in all services, the rooms are pleasant, clean and all their equipment is in perfect working order. The breakfast is fantastic The bike parking is very good and it is closed at night from 10 p.m. but the night porter will be happy to open it for you if you come back later. I recommend it for any stay in Travemünde.

Great little hotel at the harbour promenade of Travelünde. The location is outstanding and only 7 mins from the beach - however you won’t feel the walk as you’re just passing by the sea and all the lovely restaurants and shops.The hotel is partly newly renovated and gives a lovely vibe. The hotel apartment room was spacious and offers all needed facilities. Only the bedroom curtains could be updated to offer proper blackout.The stuff is very friendly and the breakfast was beyond expectations. We are quite picky when it comes to food but the breakfast was very good. Small quantities but always fleshly refilled and great variety. We will definitely be back.

The hotel impresses with its perfect location directly on the Trave promenade.Simple entrance.Antique staircase and hallway.Modern rooms.Our 3 bed room was large and with a view of the Trave.The breakfast is very good and can be taken in the winter garden (1ST FLOOR) or on the ground floor.

A nice hotel with a great location and great breakfast! Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit dusty and the skylights don't darken! We weren't impressed with the pillows! The bathrooms are great! I think charging 30 a night for pets is steep, even though they don't lose hair, but parking for 5 was reasonable! We were at the hotel for a funeral and felt very comfortable, especially because of the great staff! Thank you 🙏

The Hotel Deutscher Kaiser is in a prime location in Travemünde, directly on the Trave. From there, the fishing port and the beach can be easily reached on foot.The hotel is a bit “dated” in some places but super clean, the staff is very friendly and up for fun despite the stress.It certainly wasn't our last stay.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, right on the promenade, and still very quiet. The rooms (ours was in the new building) were nice and big and always very clean. The staff impresses with their friendly nature. The private parking lot from the hotel is only about 300 m away and can be booked for just €5 per day. We found the breakfast buffet really good, with a very large selection of dishes. And the ambience in the winter garden was very nice. And there was even sparkling wine. In the room there is even a bottle of mineral water and a kettle with coffee and tea.

Very nice hotel. Staff always polite and helpful. The breakfast is great and there is something for everyone. The view of the Trave and the ferries passing by is great. We've been here for the first time and are absolutely thrilled and will be back next year.

I was a guest at the Hotel Deutscher Kaiser from June 9th to June 11th, 2024. Single room without breakfast. In the room, kettle, instant coffee and delicious tea as well as asmall bottle of water. I thought that was great. I definitely don't go to the hotel too often. The room is small and nice, very clean. Great bathroom.And I was able to work in the hotel between my appointments.Very nice and helpful staff.And the breakfast room upstairs on the first floor is very inviting and you want to sit down straight away.I can only recommend it and come back.Thank you very much!

Celebrated my wife's 50th and found accommodation there for 4 days, a nice hotel close to the harbor and right in the shopping arcade. Room well equipped with TV. Phone. Desk. Bathroom could have been a little bigger as the toilet was very close to the wash basin but otherwise everything was very clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. There are parking spaces for loading and unloading in front of the door, another parking space is just under 300 meters awaymeters away. Unfortunately the restaurant currently has... Closed. But there is a nice alternative opposite the hotel where you can eat very well.Many thanks to the whole team for the little surprise for the birthday child. We will definitely come back again.

I booked a sweet because I was celebrating one year with my wife, the sweet was dirty, the fridge was so loud that it was annoying, the fridgeBy the way, it was empty and the floor creaks with every step. There was also a call at 1 a.m. that the TV was too loud, especially since there isn't even a TV in the bedroom. When you wanted to speak to the manager in the morning, he didn't even have it I had to come to the interview, really bad hotel for me, I will never check in there again
