I was positively surprised by the quality of the service in this hotel. Though the rooms are kind of noisy (you could hear people in the next room talking), I had a really good experience! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious enough. However the best part was the staff. All were really helpful and friendly, but I need to highlight Cosima here. She was part of the breakfast team, fully energetic and with an amazing attitude. The best way to start the day! By the way, breakfast is also really good here!I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed in a 4-bed room and it worked out great. Kitchen was good. Hot breakfast was pricey but excellent. Very easy to get work done in the lobby all day. Modern, well lit, good vibe.

Nice and clean but they have started charging for luggage storage which I don't understand or find funny. You are a guest in the hostel and already paying over 30 euros a night for a cramped room. Why do you have to pay extra not to carry a heavy suitcase round whilst trying to enjoy your time in Heidelberg?

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hostel! Everything from the cozy atmosphere to the cleanliness of the rooms exceeded my expectations. A special shoutout to the Moroccan guy who made my experience truly unforgettable. He was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to ensure that I felt at home. His warmth and hospitality were the highlights of my stay, and I can't thank him enough for making my time here so wonderful. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

I was here solo on business and the double room had an additional single bed-sized couch with task lighting, a small desk and chair, and enough of space to hang out my clothes. The hotel was very clean, and I didn't hear outside noise from my room even though there were many families staying there. The location is good if you're going to the train station and there's 1 cafe and restaurant close-by, but if you want variety you'll need to walk about 20 minutes (accessible sidewalks the entire way) to downtown/the river.

Let say it’s ok for what it is worth. But they should get for sure bigger rooms and bigger lockers. Or set less people in the room. We had an issue with one roomie who flooded all the room and they made them clean and changed us room in the middle of the midnight… they are pretty slow and not good fixing issues. Employees look like disoriented towards client and they don’t have a good customer service. You can’t check in until 2pm which is at the very least for saying it soft said , inconvenient. But you must check out at 11!! Weird schedule. Will not go back but made the job while there. Not recommended but not awful if is your only option, at least is clean.

Unfortunately this was a total desaster. The location is terrible at the edge of a commercial district (my fault) but the rooms are smelly and broken in one or the other way. The first one had mold in the shower and a strong stench of what I believe was urine, in the second one the shower head holder was loose and almost falling off. In general the rooms have more of a hostel standard. Staff is rude, some of the cleaning personnel didn't greet us back and just in a very awkward way ignored us. The room was overpriced for 120 Euro per night, I think 60-70 would be acceptable for what you get. When checking out, they wanted to charge us additional money for holding our bags for a few hours until our train departed - never in my life have I experienced this. Can't recommend it to anyone.

Although the hostel is a bit far from the city center, it is close to the central station, and there are tram and bus stops nearby, making it convenient to reach tourist attractions. The surrounding area was quiet, and the hotel building was easy to find. The availability of towels and a hairdryer was convenient. The room was small but comfortable for a night's stay. The staff were all very friendly. Although the room was not ready at the check-in time, the reception staff immediately apologized and offered complimentary drinks and snacks, which was a nice gesture. In particular, the receptionist Tanvir guided me to the bus stop even though he was on his way home, preventing me from missing the bus. Even though I missed my bus, he kindly guided me on how to store my luggage at the central station and recommended a café where I could spend my time. I was really touched by Tanvir's kindness and dedication. He is the best staff member I have ever met. Thanks to him, this trip will remain a wonderful memory.

I stayed at the MEININGER Hotel Heidelberg with my family of six and we felt truly welcomed. The front desk staff were hospitable and made our stay enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is very well located, close to major tourist attractions. They offer free Wi-Fi, which worked perfectly throughout our stay. The staff was always friendly and helpful, quickly resolving any issues we had. The value for money was excellent, as we received high-quality service at a reasonable price.
