Very well located hotel. Zugspitze can practically be seen from the hotel. Is a slightly larger hotel consisting of several complexes. So there's a little more going on there. It was stupid that you had to walk back and forth between the houses to take a sauna or swim or to eat, depending on which house you were staying in. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Dog bowls and blankets were already prepared in the room. The food was buffet style and very tasty with a large selection. The wellness area was also well equipped. A fruit/tea or juice bar would have been desirable, but that's complaining at a high level. We were there for a long weekend and were completely satisfied. Conclusion, would go there again

The hotel is in a beautiful location a few meters from the train stop between GAPA and the Zugspitze cable cars (free - included in the price of accommodation).An excellent starting point for a trek.

Our hotel room was chicly furnished. It was very clean. In my opinion, the Alpenspitz house (there were at least 3 houses) was quite fresh and newly furnished. The breakfast was ok. And dinner was ok. I would have hoped for a little more. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The children had a lot of fun in the pool. It was relatively large for a hotel. We weren't able to take advantage of most of the activities on offer. I would like a kettle in the room. For afternoon tea. The view of the mountains is beautiful. The location is super good. I was able to start many hikes directly at the hotel. I could imagine that it is also a good location for skiers in winter.

Loved our stay here. Easy access to Zugspitze from the train station next to the hotel. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Restaurant was great and bar staff very friendly. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for its rooms, service and location.

In every pub you will be greeted more warmly than here. The hotel is quite old and has not been modernized much. Daily cleaning is very superficial. Dirty towels are not changed. There is no telephone, no kettle, no minibar and if the water bottle is empty, it remains empty until departure. But I would also like to mention positive things.The breakfast was ok. The dinner (not from the buffet) was very good. Praise to the chef. Big praise also to Miroslaw. An old school waiter. Some employees can learn something from this. Finally, something about parking fees. €10.50 per night is a disgrace. Sorry, then it's better to make the rooms 5 more expensive. Then the guests won't be so frustrated. Despite everything, I wish you all the best and make something of it.

We were there for a short vacation over the weekendThe location of the hotel is a lonely peak surrounded by mountains and lush green meadows.The weather didn't really cooperate, but it wasn't that bad because the hotel has a very nice spa area, a nice pool and various massages on offer.The rooms were very large, with a separate bathroom and toilet which was great, a nice large balcony with a view of the mountains.There was even a kettle with a variety of tea, different types of coffee and coffee cream and sugar, that was really great👍🏻.There are enough parking spaces in front of the door.The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.You could tell that the hotel here and there could use a little paint, they're just small things but they caught the eye.For example, the drain stopper in our sink was quite rusty (see picture) and then in the hallway, either after painting or before, the grease tape wasn't removed properly, which just didn't look very nice.Two tiles in our toilet were broken.Unfortunately, they forgot to provide the booked bouquet of flowers upon arrival, but this was done quite quickly after asking and the next day after breakfast the bouquet of flowers was in the room, which can happen when there is a lot going on and it is perhaps a bit stressful.Unfortunately, what was the biggest negative for me personally was the food.On the second evening we had the “big buffet” for €33 per head.The choices were,Leberkäs in sauerkraut, potato pancakes with applesauce, mashed potatoes, potato dumplings, green beans, goulash, roast pork crust, pike perch.For dessert there was coffee cream and chocolate cream.What can I say, the fried potatoes felt like they were fried and absolutely fried.The green beans were simply warmed up, without spices you could have served them with onions and bacon, simply simple and tasty but naked lukewarm beans. The mashed potatoes weren't particularly worth mentioning either, even if they were visually sprinkled with spring onions and fried onions.What was very good was the pork-crusted roast, which was just like you knew from your mother, with a crust that was incredibly crispy, tasted great, and the meat was juicy, so there was absolutely nothing to complain about.The goulash wasn't bad either.We didn't try the fish but it looked delicious.All in all, it was a nice weekend, we felt comfortable and were able to switch off for a while, but we will definitely come back.

The hotel has a nice location and maybe you get at least a 3 star feeling in the main building.So I can't understand the good reviews. We were there from Sunday to Friday and paid €980 including breakfast. In addition, our dog (Retromops) was charged €20 per night (really outrageous), as was the parking lot at €8 and tourist tax €7 per day. We arrived at around 3:30 p.m. and had to wait 40 minutes until we got our room (in an adjacent building). The gentleman asked us 3 times if we had booked a double room. We were then assigned a room which was supposedly a family room and we were told to move into a double room after 2 days, which I refused given our enormous luggage. The gentleman at the reception then agreed and said that we wouldn't have to bear the additional costs. Very generous! When I entered the building next door, I immediately noticed the really dirty carpet. There was no elevator and we had to run up and down 3 times to bring all the luggage up. There were also two very sparsely designed rooms. One with a sofa and one with 2 very narrow beds pushed together so that whenever you turned around there was a gap between the beds. There was no way to keep drinks cool, nor was there a telephone, let alone a kettle. There was no information about breakfast times or wellness or other things relating to the stay.The cleanliness left a lot to be desired as you can see in the attached photo. The cleaning service came by itself a second time upon request and only the beds were made. There was a sticky stain all over one bed. The entire time there was always the same thing for breakfast. I think it's a poor performance for a 4 star hotel. The highlight were the thermos flasks where the plastic peels off and you have to be careful not to find it in the coffee. When we checked out I was presented with a €1500 bill even though I had already paid for the rooms in advance. This was probably a mistake for which there wasn't even a "sorry".All in all a bitter disappointment. I would NOT recommend this hotel!
