A lovingly run hostel in the heart of Passau's old town.Behind historic walls, the balance between monument protection and hospitality is achieved at a good level - even if there is no elevator.All rooms face the Rindermarkt, which is lively until late at night. The single glazing only partially insulates the sound and I wouldn't have wanted to sleep with the window open. Nevertheless, I would come back, even if not in summer.I felt comfortable. The location is fantastic. From here you can easily explore Passau on foot and be welcomed by the wide range of gastronomic offerings. You would have to park a vehicle outside the city gates or in the city center for a fee.

Beautiful location, due to bad luck we initially booked 1 night here. It was fine for 2 adults and 2 children. There are plenty of facilities nearby. And the sanitary facilities were clean. Free coffee in the coffee corner and a beautiful piece of garden. Lovely people with whom we speak excellent English children. We were able to book a second night without any problems, at a great price.

Not suitable for a family with 2 children.We had a room on the third floor without an elevator and stairs (the house is a listed building). The room is ok, but nothing more. The mattresses were very hard and the bed linen needed to be replaced.The location is really good. In the middle!But if I want to go dancing, I'll go dance and not actually book a hotel room. It was so loud, even at twelve.If you want to party and don't care much about your room, this is the place for you.To everyone else, let it be better!

I debated whether to give this 5 stars or not, as for the type of hotel its great.I stayed in a hotel room with own shower. The room was nicely decorated with a big comfortable bed. Had storage, a table and large windows which you can open to get some cool air in. The shower room was small, but fine.4 stars for service, I didn't see anyone as I left early and got back late and as i avoid people generally this was perfect, the communication for access was good and easy.The hotel is an old building and the floors do creak, which adds to the character, but I did hear people moving about at night - I was awake so it's not that loud to wake you.The location is great, very central there is a cool bar below the hotel and a cafe and ice cream parlour outside the front door. Easy walk to all attractions (except the castle at the top of the hill). I would stay again.

Cleanliness is very important! Using Google filter it appears “with parking space” even though none are available. Location would be very good but everything else leaves something to be desired. This isn't for us and we won't be coming back!

Waiting for entry code, not sent. Parking information was not given despite previous information. Booked a different room category with HRS. Poor price-performance ratio, but this is due to HRS

The hotel/hostel is located in the middle of Passau's beautiful city center and is easily accessible from the main station. The room furnishings are very stylish. The staff very courteous and helpful. There was even suitable accommodation for the bikes! Gladly again.

The mattresses were terribly uncomfortable, the bed didn't even have a slatted frame. There was also no “art” to be seen in our room, just a few Ikea decorative items. The location, on the other hand, is super central.

Delightful hotel in wonderful location. Right in the middle of everything - shops, cafes, attractions. Very quaint and quiet. Cute courtyard and reading room. Staff are so nice and really went out of their way to make our stay special!

Centrally located, basically attractively furnished. BUT: The volume at night was extremely disturbing, we had to call the police and the emergency services because guests brought a drunk lady who had suffered a bleeding head injury in a bad fall in the hallway. Bullying and drunken fellow guests rounded the whole thing off. Since the reception is not staffed at night, you cannot ask for help and are left to your own devices.The next morning the lady at reception was neither accommodating nor friendly.Definitely the last visit for us.

No staff there in the morning room is poor equipped very noisy at night because of the bar downstairs couldn't sleep the whole night was paying more than 120€ for this but no value for money

Beautiful place, historic building in the city center. The location couldn't be better. Nicely furnished rooms, everything clean. Communication with the hotel was perfect, we received all the necessary information in an e-mail. The breakfast at the Simon patisserie opposite the hotel was good. The bike can be stored in the garden or in the room (if you can carry it). Experiential hotel - I recommend it.

Right in the centre of Passau, with the nightly noise that comes with it, decorated with some style, steep stairs and some bike storage, but not really very elaborated. Breakfast is served in the café on the opposite side of the square, plentiful and varied.
