We stayed at Pension Merbald for one night during our bikepacking tour. We were allowed to park our gravel bikes in the garage and also spray off the dirt with the garden hose. The room (1) was very well furnished, with adjoining bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was super good and had everything you need. We are welcomed by the very hospitable Mrs. Merbald and served to our complete satisfaction. On the wonderful roof terrace we enjoy the beautiful view of Hirschberg Castle in the wonderful sunshine.

We were on the Altmühltal Panoramaweg and booked a double room with Ms. Merbald.We were warmly welcomed. The whole house exudes a cozy, homely atmosphere. The room was small, nice and clean. Breakfast was an absolute highlight with 6 different homemade jams and fresh rolls. There was nothing missing.The way to the city center is very easy to reach on foot in 10 minutes.We would come back at any time and can highly recommend the guesthouse.Carmen and Jürgen

It's a shame we had to leave...Since we cycled along the Altmühltalweg, we booked a double room with Ms. Merbald for one night.Beilngries is a beautiful town with 5000 inhabitants where you really have everything you need.Ms. Merbald's room was really big and beautifully and modernly furnished. The rest of the guesthouse also had character and was very comfortable. We were able to park, load and lock our bikes in the garage next door.Ms. Merbald herself is a super warm person who runs this guesthouse with love.She also prepared the breakfast very nicely and to your complete satisfaction. She even bought extra almond milk!The Pension Merbald is highly recommended, we would come back in a heartbeat!

What we experienced here is not possible at all.A holiday apartment that was put in a different light with clever photos and was then divided up.The so-called lounge could only be reached via the breakfast room and was then open to everyone.The balcony is also only accessible via stairs and the breakfast room.There was also a full (overflowing) ashtray there (photo).Even the keys were disgusting (photo). The worst... the unclean egg spoons for breakfast...In the morning it's not just the house that gets very loud that wakes you up. We've certainly experienced a lot, but we have to refrain from making any recommendations here and even advise against renting for one night. The broken tiles and window sill in the bathroom confirm this. There are still a few things, but I'll leave it at that.Sad after a wonderful vacation in Austria...

I was warmly welcomed.The room was spacious with good beds for a peaceful sleep.Breakfast is prepared according to personal wishes.The WiFi was good.There is storage space for bicycles.

Small, privately run guesthouse with three rooms. Ms. Merbald welcomes you very friendly and informs you about the rules in the house. Our room was sufficiently large and functionally furnished. Breakfast was served on a plate per room and had everything you needed.Certainly okay for one night, but not suitable for a longer period of time. But it is also inexpensive and therefore nothing to complain about. The bicycles can be stored safely and dry in a garage at the house. In the center about 10-15 minutes on foot.
