We’ve booked a room for two nights and it was amazing. The hotel is only some minutes by foot from the train station. The lady at the reception was sweet, she gave us really nicely what we needed and gave us all the informations we needed to visit Zugspitze, Eibsee and höllentalklamm (she even gave us some tips which were useful). The hotel was very clean and the cleaning lady cleaned being respectful towards our stuff (even cute gesture to our pj). This place is beautiful and welcoming I’d definitely advise anyone to go there !

We stayed here at the hotel for 1 night as we continued our journey and can only report positive things. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was VERY good and had a very large selection of food and drinks. We cannot understand what demands some review writers have.The hotel is not ultra-modern. But it's not run down or anything. It is equipped with light wooden furniture.The fact that the room floors are carpeted is something that can be of mixed opinion when it comes to hygiene. But the floor wasn't stained. There was no smell in the room either.Since the house is an older house with plank floors, it is clear that the planks also squeak. But it wasn't very loud because of the carpet. Besides, things like that don't bother us.We felt really comfortable and our dog was also welcome.It is normal these days that there is an overnight fee for a dog. Anyone who makes fun of themselves here should consider whether they can afford a vacation.The same applies to the room price. Yes, it's not low. But the location of the hotel in a mass tourism area due to the Eibsee makes you lucky to receive this price for the location and the good breakfast and nice owners.In addition, as a guest these days you can be happy to get accommodation, even for just 1 night, and to find hotels that can stay afloat financially and don't have to close because they have to cover the costs (maintenance of the building, employees, costs for... Definitely recommended! Ms. Schmidthals was friendly, very smart and helpful at reception, Mr. Schmidthals was caring and willing to provide information at breakfast.The location is very convenient, as the Alspitz cog railway stop is just around the corner and you can easily travel between Eibsee and Garmisch using a guest card. Parking is very good, including behind the house (!). The walk to the nearby idyllic Badersee is really a stone's throw and worth it.Pedelecs can also be rented. The dining room is very spacious, considering the size of the room it's just a question of time and price. In the short term you can be grateful if you still have good accommodation and that was absolutely right!

Beautiful, loving family businessThe hotel is super centrally located to Eibsee (Zugspitze) and Garmisch Partenkirchen. You can easily reach the attractions in the area.Our room (4) had a great view of the Zugspitze. The room was very spacious with its own large bathroom. We were really very satisfied. The hotel owners are super warm and accommodating, and they respond well to requests. The breakfast is also full with a large selection (if you are vegan it is best to discuss it beforehand).A small suggestion for improvement, the doors are a bit loud and squeak slightly.Thank you very much for the great vacation time.

Simple hotel that impresses with its location and service. The family-run hotel is centrally located in the town and is ideal for trips to the surrounding area (train station, bus stop, parking spaces). The service is extremely courteous and friendly. The facilities throughout the hotel are very simple but absolutely sufficient. The breakfast was rich. There are enough parking spaces available. After arriving, we immediately received our Grainau guest card, which greatly enriched and simplified our stay. We would come back at any time!

When booking, 2 rooms were ordered. There was no refrigerator, no towels, no hairdryer and no basic toiletries in the room. We came with a dog, it was written that animals are allowed, but we paid extra for the dog. They said breakfast was included in the room rate but asked for separate payment. Next time we won't go and won't advise others to come.

I would like to leave a positive review for this hotel. It is a wonderful place for a relaxing stay, very cozy and comfortable. My husband and I spent about five days here and I didn't find any major downsides. Now about the benefits. The most important plus point: the hotel's wonderful, attentive and very positive hostess. She is extremely friendly, always happy to help and give useful advice. Unfortunately I don't speak German well, but she showed amazing understanding.The hotel has an excellent location: right in the city center, just a five-minute walk to the bus stop and train station, from where you can go to Eibsee and Zugspitze. Opposite the hotel there is a forest and a lake with trout (take 50 cents to feed the fish and ducks - it's very entertaining).You can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. There are no delicacies, but who needs them for breakfast? Everything is very tasty (the omelet is excellent!). We had a room with a view of the forest and mountains, and we spent wonderful evenings on the balcony. In the morning the view of the mountains is impressive.A small drawback (which, however, has nothing to do with the hotel) is the traffic of some cars passing under the window at night. But I'm a light sleeper and the problem is easily solved by closing the window.At reception you can buy sunscreen, drinks, chocolate and chips and souvenirs at very reasonable prices (the sun in the mountains is tricky and without protection you could get into trouble). As far as I understood you can also rent bikes but we didn't have time to try this service as we barely had time for bike rides.There is a parking space in front of the hotel for your car. Overall, this is a very quiet and picturesque place, ideal if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. I will recommend this wonderful hotel to my friends.

We had a lovely stay at Nuss Hotel! The staff was absolutely amazing, super friendly and helpful! The room was very clean! Breakfasts were very tasty! 👌 you can find there everything you need- peace, nice views, beautiful routes nearby, great and easy train connection to GaPa!We are definitely thinking of coming back in winter! GIGANTIC service in a dog-friendly, open house. Really great value for money. In the middle of town, mini golf course, hiking trails, bus & train, restaurants within walking distance and also: a fantastic view. Gladly again! 🥰

The location was perfect. The service and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Furnishings and equipment are completely sufficient. If you expect luxury, you should book and pay for luxury. This is a great accommodation for hikes and other excursions. The dog wasn't a problem at all and there was enough parking space, free of charge.
