It's a bit out of the centre, but with trains and trams and buses, it's at most, a 40 minute ride into marienplatz/city centre. Also, a 45 minute train journey from the airport.Rooms are standard hotel rooms, service was good, reception were helpful.Location for the backstage music venue was ideal as well as hirschgarten and the botanical gardens a pleasant walk away.

First of all, the positive: The rooms are very attractive and clean. But that’s about it. This hotel obviously has no interest in guests. …

The journey was by S-Bahn, we arrived within a few minutes on foot. The staff was very friendly and explained everything well. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast is included in the price. From the outside the hotel looks beautiful. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance, which I think is great. The only thing I have to complain about is the utopian prices at the vending machines for soft drinks and chips. Almost €5 for a pack of chips is too much. Otherwise, I think the hotel is very great and would come here again and recommend it to others! 😊

The hotel is very conveniently located and clean. Ideal for a concert in the backstage. Very spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very extensive and tasty.

I had room 618 between October 6th and 8th, 2024 and traveled by S-Bahn. The view from the room is towards the Hirschgarten S-Bahn stop and you can see all the way to the Alps. The S-Bahn station is within easy walking distance. Just like a quaint Munich restaurant, Eternal Light, which is within walking distance, as well as Dean and David. The room is very nice, there is a kettle where you can make coffee in the room. I can't confirm what some reviewers have written here about it being in need of renovation. The breakfast is plentiful and very varied, from pancakes to muesli with fruit to cold cuts and jam. Several types of cheese and sausages. There is a small self-service shop in the foyer which is very practical if you have forgotten something. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were nice and partly German-speaking but also of course international. Anyone who checks into a hotel in Munich is not necessarily only German-speaking, I think there was a good mix of German and English-speaking staff and I would happily come back at any time.

Overall, unfortunately I can't make a recommendation. Only the location of the hotel is convincing. The rooms are in need of renovation, mold in the bathroom. No wonder, because there is neither a window nor a ventilation in the bathroom; the bathroom has to be ventilated via the room's window, which can only be tilted. This means that all the bad smells and all the humidity in the air first blow through the entire room and only escape very slowly through the tilted window, which kills the last bit of comfort. The air conditioning in the room was apparently broken and couldn't be turned on. The mattresses are quite saggy. The construction site right in front of the hotel doesn't exactly contribute to your well-being, but the hotel (for once) can't do anything about it.Some of the hotel employees only speak English, not German, which I have never experienced in any hotel in Germany. Luckily I speak English, otherwise I would have been lost. Some of the employees are also extremely unfriendly and absolutely borderline in their dealings with paying, friendly guests. The parking situation is catastrophically regulated, and that for 20 euros a day.The breakfast was ok, unfortunately nothing more. There was exactly one type of cheese to choose from, quite poor considering the steep overnight prices. If you want to stay in a hotel that offers its guests comfort and friendliness, you will definitely have to look for another hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.
