A wonderful hotel with excellent service! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. I'd love to come back!

We stayed at the Hotel Park Soltau and were recommended to this restaurant with a voucher due to a lack of guests!My meal was matjes with fried potatoes and saladMy wife's schnitzel with fried potatoesThe fried potatoes completely without seasoningsoft, mushy, oily, the salad drowned in balsamic vinegar, catastrophe, I don't know how you can send something like that out of the kitchen???The waitress asked if everything was OK, my answer was as described here, she was sorry, but that was it.The food was really a disgrace!.

We were there with a tour group from the Bayreuth Botanical Garden and were very satisfied.The rooms were clean, breakfast and dinner (as a group) were very good and I was very satisfied with the service.We had a small booking problem (of our own making) but it was solved immediately

We stayed here for one night because we were passing through. All I can say is definitely not again. We had the family room and you couldn't feel comfortable at all. Very cold and simply furnished. But the biggest disaster was our dinner in the restaurant. The staff is very unfriendly and to top it off we waited a whopping 90 minutes for our food. After all, when we asked, the drinks were waived as compensation for the waiting time. The food was ok but nothing special. We've eaten far better. In short, in my opinion this hotel is not recommended.

The hotel itself was very cozy with some of the best beds I've slept in for a long time. The decor is a bit rustic but it suits very well when you consider that the hotel is located in a large forest area. The hotel is 2 km from the nearest town and a 5-minute drive from Heide Park. Can be highly recommended.

I hiked the Heidschnuckenweg for a number of days and got to know different hotels. When I compare them afterwards, I actually like the Soltauer Hof best. Of course, this always depends on what a guest places particular value on - for me, for example, it is undisturbed peace and quiet, which is much more important to me than the very latest equipment (with the exception of WiFi). From my room on the 2nd floor (note: no elevator, this can be an issue if you have heavy luggage or mobility limitations) I only heard the birds singing. Splendid! The room itself was cozy, I felt very comfortable in it. Dinner (asparagus) was very tasty and served quickly, and breakfast in the pretty breakfast room had everything I expected.Regarding the negative reviews: Yes, I also noticed some of the water damage, and yes, mold growth in the bathroom can be a problem. But: there was no sign of the water damage either in the restaurant or in my room, and as far as the mold is concerned, I know how time-consuming it is to remove the mold from the corners and grooves of the shower cubicle with a small joint brush, which is all over the place. reforms very quickly. It was more important to me that everything I came into contact with (sink, shower floor, toilet) was sparkling clean. In any case, I was so satisfied with everything that I would book this hotel again, probably for more than just one night.

We came across this hotel while traveling through and chose this hotel because of the value for money and the good reviews. Once you arrive, there are some parking spaces so you don't have to look for one. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted at reception as expected, but that was because a new employee was apparently just being trained. Not so tragic.The room was newly furnished and made a charming impression. The bathroom has been newly renovated and is therefore very pleasant. The rest of the hotel is reminiscent of an upper-class hotel from times long past. Personally, I found it quaint and quiet.The breakfast we took with us was small but nice. Everything you need, bread rolls, sausage, cheese, jam, juices, cocoa, tea, everything you need was there and was of good quality.We can recommend this hotel.The only drawback: the rooms are quite dark, at least ours.

We were in the house for the asparagus buffet. Everything was super tasty and hot. There were two types of asparagus. Soft and a little firmer, great. I've never seen anything like that before. The service was very nice. We'll definitely come back.

We were there on Sunday for the asparagus buffet. It was very tasty.The selection was large and the staff always made sure that everything was refilled as quickly as possible. It was also particularly positive that the asparagus was cooked in two stages. One “bite-hard” and one “soft” so that everyone could have it the way they like it best.There were also 3 different types of meat, plus ham. The meat was very tender and tasted perfect.The dessert was also very tasty.As with every visit we have had there, the staff was very friendly.The only thing was the cream of asparagus soup, which was very sweet. But the staff apologized for that too and I think you can ignore that.We would love to come back next time.

We were at the asparagus buffet yesterday. It was very tasty. The asparagus tasted fresh. Unfortunately, the asparagus cream soup was a bit sweet. But that can happen. The schnitzels and the other meat were great. The potatoes were delicious and to our complete satisfaction. The dessert was delicious. The tables were very nicely set. And everything for €25.90. That was more than cheap. The staff was friendly as always.

The asparagus buffet was a complete disappointment. The asparagus had a bad taste and was anything but fresh. The soup was way too sweet, tasted like cheap sugar and was garnished with frozen parsley. The advertised scrambled eggs weren't even there, and the hollandaise sauce consisted of a holey powder that didn't dissolve properly and was as thin as water. The schnitzels were acceptable, but without any intensity in taste. The potatoes had a strange taste and were inedible. The turkey medallions were beyond my comprehension, but the raw and cooked ham were normal. The lawn outside wasn't mowed and it got so hot inside that the dining atmosphere was uncomfortable. The only positive things to mention are the desserts, especially the Black Forest cherry cream, and the friendly staff. For the price of €25.90, this experience was extremely disappointing. Never again! I'd rather spend 5-10€ more.

Thank you for a nice evening with some compromises, we'll still be back.Last Friday took place in the Soltauer Hofthe musical dinner Mamma Mia took place.A quick review.In October 23rd we took part in the Musical Dinner Show, Best of Musicals so to speak, and were absolutely thrilled. The three artists rocked the hall, the atmosphere was really good.Hardly any guest in the hall remained sitting on their chair; there was dancing and singing along.The kitchen team and the service staff from Soltauer Hof ensured an all-round successful evening.We decided to take part in the next musical dinner show that same day. This time Mamma Mia, ABBA's greatest hits, was on the program.Now the time had come, full of anticipation for a lovely evening, we were ultimately disappointed. In addition to various lyrics and an extremely muffled sound, you sometimes had the feeling that the singer didn't have his microphone on. Whenever a mood arose, it was nipped in the bud by German ABBA songs. So the artists didn't manage to let the spark fly and build on the last musical dinner.Thanks to the great food, the successful service and the friendly staff, it was a successful evening despite the musical weaknesses. We'll be back and now try the crime dinner.

I've stayed there overnight twice for work.The rooms are renovated, bathrooms are a little older, see photo. It is clean and above all quiet. Price/performance is right.I would particularly like to highlight the service at the reception. They not only helped me with a broom to clear snow from my vehicle, but also sent me forgotten laundry. Very good service!I particularly liked the dinner, which you can order à la carte. Both times I ate very tasty food.I will definitely come back there.

I was there with my husband for one night. We had a voucher from Jochen Schweizer, which was actually for 2 nights, with a consumption voucher for 60 euros.We were only able to use it for one night as our pet sitter was unavailable. But it wasn't a problem. The hotel initially made a solid impression. When we got to our room there was already a very musty smell in the air. The room was very small and 70s style, especially the bathroom. The furniture was newer. Nevertheless, the room was musty, there was probably water damage that was being processed. Scaffolding in front of the window. There are no elevators in the entire hotel!!!Breakfast quality was disappointing. Example: Fruit salad was canned fruit. But coffee was ok.Staff was very nice. It was clean too.You can only eat from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. But we couldn't because we wanted to go to a concert in Hamburg.So our consumption voucher could not be used.Since my husband is often in this area, he asked for a voucher that he wanted to redeem later.That wasn't possible. According to the receptionist, the boss said it would be a losing proposition for us.So we spent around 270 euros for one night with a modest breakfast in a 2 star hotelcalm. In the entrance area there is still a certificate with 4 stars (2015-2018) that, according to the internet, the hotel no longer has.We could have booked a real 4 star hotel directly in Hamburg.

I can only recommend the Soltauer Hof!I was there for the conference several times.Great support when it comes to seating requests, technology or room layout!The food is great. Diverse and warm buffet at lunchtime and even in the evening!My rooms were always clean and tidy and the bathroom was nicely cleaned.I'd be happy to come back any time!

I don't understand the criticism. When booking it was clearly stated that the room was completely furnished with new furniture and the bathroom had not yet been renovated. Well, the bathroom doesn't meet the latest standards, but everything was very clean and the room was really stylishly furnished.The breakfast was absolutely fine and everything was plentiful.Different coffee variations, juices. Upon request, fried eggs were freshly prepared. Sausage, cheese, honey, various jams etc. etc. - you don't have to list everything.Price and performance are right here.
