The hotel is great! Whether 4 stars is always an option. We are still there and had a three-day offer with half board and a massage in the spa. The rooms are spacious and very clean, nice beds and a large bathroom. Good room service and quiet at night, despite the central location. Price performance for this offer is great. If you go hiking during the day, after a very good breakfast and come home in the afternoon, maybe use the coffee table or the spa landscape before dinner, it's a great combination for a few beautiful days.

Because the parking lot costs €8 per day, it would be smarter to park at the Q1 gas station next door with a large, free parking lot. The breakfast buffet with pancake maker is very good!

A very nice hotel directly in Bad Harzburg. Perfect for relaxing or hiking.The rooms were very clean and breakfast and dinner were delicious with a large selection.

Went to the treehouse for one night and had a very comfortable, relaxing time there. We were looked after very well and we had a good time. The sauna area with pool is designed to be very relaxing, but the pool could be a little warmer for my taste. In the sauna area there is, among other things, a barrel with cold water which can be used to cool down - really good. There is a hot sauna, a "normal" warm sauna and a steam sauna. The breakfast is highly recommended, I didn't miss anything and was able to eat my fill. The partial massage that we took advantage of was also very relaxing and good value for money (approx. €35 per person).The only negative point was that there were a few cobwebs hanging down from the ceiling in the tree house.

Unfortunately, the rooms all face the street and are therefore very noisy when the windows are open.Very nice staff, slightly higher prices for drinks, delicious evening buffet. Breakfast buffet also good, but unfortunately no fresh rolls.

The Ettershaus is a very nice hotel.The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly and attentive.Our room was very large and clean.The wellness area is top.We felt very comfortable there and will definitely come back again.

We have been enjoying going to the Sonnenresort Ettershaus for a few years now. The food and service at Tauts Restaurant is still excellent. The service at reception was rather less. Not only were they unable to send a correct booking confirmation by email (they then did this by post after seven phone calls), we were also firmly told at 3:56 p.m. on the day of arrival that we should be patient , as the key card could only be issued at 4 p.m. That was correct according to the arrival documents, but here too a friendly tone was missing. The room is obviously no longer cleaned daily, which is a real shame because we arrived with a dog. The patio doors are “insulated” with thick spider webs. I think it's a shame for such a nice hotel if the service is neglected in such a way.

I give 4.5 stars ;) Rented Octagon treehouse for one night, beautiful and very cozy. Feels like you've slowed down from everyday life in a treehouse bubble. It was pouring rain, but somehow it was perfect! The only "negative" is the kitchenette, which just isn't really a kitchenette. All drawers and cupboards were empty, not a single cutlery, plate, microwave or small hob. A coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator and sink were available. Personally, I would recommend the rear treehouses because they really have a forest view. No. 812 for example not really, view of the street, restaurant and the other tree houses. The other ones at the back are nice. Breakfast booked in the main hotel, very tasty. I would definitely rent a tree house again.

After our first stay in August 2023, we spent a few days in the Ettershaus again twelve months later.Last year we had a great apartment “Burgberg”, now we had a double room “Tuschkasten”, which was, as expected, a little smaller but no less comfortable and well-equipped.Once again we found that overall it is a recommendable wellness hotel in the Harz with a good location, a beautiful view and a very attractive wellness and sauna area.The service is okay and the food (half board) in the Taut's restaurant is good to very good.While we had a buffet for dinner last year, we were each able to enjoy a 4-course meal during our current stay.In the menu you could see and taste that the chef was able to live out and show his skills and creativity.The drinks prices are at the upper end of the just acceptable range.

Very nice renovated hotel with very friendly service. The only drawback was that the view from the tree house terrace was half of the forest and half of the parking lot with a gas station on the main road. So it was quite loud.

Nice hotel but with limitations. First I would like to thank the receptionist, unfortunately I forgot your name, but she had an accent. I have never been checked in so friendly and absolutely perfectly as by this lady.We had a room in the main house, which was very spacious and modernly furnished, free WiFi and good connection. Bio sauna with 60°, Turkish steam bath and a 90° sauna as well as a pool are available. Let's get to the negative sides. The place, Bad Harzburg, has its best times behind it. A lot of vacancy, hardly any evening activities and shops that don't stick to their own opening times. The hotel suffers from a lack of staff.The few staff do superhuman work. Dear owners, if you don't get any staff, make the conditions better.

We spent a night in the Oktagon tree house and had a great time at the resort. The service in all areas is very friendly, attentive and always has an open ear, which is why we were welcomed at reception right from the start. The breakfast buffet fulfilled all of our wishes, and here too the staff were friendly and attentive, despite the busyness. Thumbs up for so much radiating peace. There is nothing to complain about about the spa and wellness area, everything is very clean and nicely decorated. Basically there is only one point of criticism: Unfortunately, not everyone is considerate. So in the wellness area we had to witness how it mutated into a children's playground, with children jumping off the edge, screaming and raging, with no limits being set. Peace and relaxation were no longer an option. This point was also criticized by some other guests with whom we spoke. A regulation from the hotel would be desirable here. And now for everyone reading this: No, I have nothing against children, I also raised children. But always with consideration for other people.

Rented a tree house. Very nicely decorated. Amazed at high quality kitchen for a coffee machine. Kettle and 2 cups.Second bedroom would have been better as breakfast is taken at the hotel.

We had a great vacation.The room was well equipped and totally comfortable for us. The only drawback is that we had two TicTacs lying on the floor from the previous tenant. They were in the same place the entire stay. The service in the restaurant was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Really very tasty. The reception staff were also very friendly. The pool was great. Swimming is fun here. The location of the hotel was great. Opposite is the nature park with many eating and playing options for the children.

Very nice hotel complex.We stayed in the Elvis tree house. Due to its hillside location, it has a very nice view and is equipped with everything you need. Not particularly big, but we didn't expect it to be.Next door is the excellent restaurant Origin and the hotel complex has a very good breakfast buffet.

The masseuse in the spa with an East German accent is very unfriendly. Instead of aromatherapy with relaxing sounds, there was reprimand for allegedly making a false booking. Don't book!!! The spa is smaller than in the photos and it's not worth traveling extra for it. Everything is very close to a busy road. Steam sauna was broken.Positive: nice relaxation room in the sauna, from which you can watch the gondolas and look into the forest. There are plenty of towels. The restaurant Origin is very tasty and the service is quick and friendly

I'm shocked that the hotel's parking lot costs €8 a day for hotel guests. For non-guests it's just €10 all day.I don't even want to know how much extra everything costs when staying in a hotel.Normally I don't rate hotels that I haven't stayed in, but I just think that's cheeky. I lose all interest in wanting to stay there because there is no free parking space within a short walking distance.

It was a very nice short vacation.The only thing I find really unfortunate is that the hotel is located directly on a busy street. This is not clear from the pictures.The food was also delicious and there was always enough for everyone. If something ran out, it was immediately refilled.

Awesome, such a great weekend spent, everything was top, whether room suite, restaurant, the staff were all great, wellness area unbeatable and great excursions and hiking opportunities, suspension railway highly recommended.So I would also give 6 stars for this successful weekend.I would really like to come back and then test the tree house, which also looks super cool
