Unfortunately most rooms do not have a balcony or terrace. But the employees make up for this small detail with their friendliness. Children (my grandchildren) were not considered a nuisance here. On the contrary. It was lovingly set with children's cutlery for her. I stay in hotels in Lower Saxony three times a year. You'll definitely see me again. Many thanks to the entire team

Good middle class hotel with very nice service and excellent food! Be sure to try the home-brewed beer. At the beer tasting, which everyone can do themselves, it was the absolute test winner. The food was outstanding! Great quality at reasonable prices. Were here as part of the Harzer Hexenstieg hike. We'd love to come back! The best that Osterode has to offer. The “Schwäbisches Weinlädle” diagonally opposite the hotel, which is also part of it, is also interesting. We took some delicious wines home with us. Very nice people who tried to make sure we had a good stay. Worked! We'd love to come back!

Our actual hotel was disastrous so we stayed there for two nights. The rooms are quaint but this didn't bother us. Breakfast was delicious, the owners were nice and the city is a short walk away. There is also plenty of parking space. Even though we found it a bit expensive, we would come back at any time.

We went to the restaurant for lunch. The table was reserved but there were no guests there yet. We were surprised but things have also changed. The service was there quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. We ate regionally, i.e. beef and trout from the Harz region. Everything was very tasty. We can recommend the restaurant.

A nice hotel, a nice place. Unfortunately a bit unprofessional. The operating family has their living room in the guest room, so you somehow feel like a foreign body in a large family. The operators themselves give the impression that they are disturbing and they use the main entrance for smoking. As I said, a bit unprofessional. On the one hand, the home-made beer was not labeled according to the regulations (best before date not marked), which was noticeable because the beer was unfortunately spoiled. Here too, the reaction was more annoyed than concerned. It's a shame, because the house, location and kitchen are really great.

We were invited to lunch at a family celebration. All dishes tasted very good. It was replenished very quickly if something ran low. Given the variety of dishes, we were very positively surprised by the price, considering that 3 types of dessert as well as ice cream and a chocolate fountain were also included in the package. I was pleasantly surprised by the home-brewed dark beer. The service was very courteous and friendly. Overall, everything is highly recommended.

Very good upscale cuisine with a clear menu that covers all preferences. I can't write anything about the rooms, but the lunch days on various Sundays with seasonal dishes are always attractive. Family celebrations are also always well organized. We have never been disappointed and are regular guests.

Celebrated my birthday here with friends. And it was a complete success. The welcome at the counter was warm and we felt at home from the first moment. The food was to die for! We pre-ordered goose. And this was carved live at the table. The home-brewed beer was also a highlight. We had some children with us. The staff didn't mind. On the contrary: they took great care of it. We will definitely come back! Thank you for this great weekend.

**My rating of the restaurant at the Hotel zum Röddenberg: 1 star**Positive:- I really appreciated the nice service staff. The service staff was always friendly and accommodating, which made my stay pleasant.- The beer tasting was an interesting experience and gave me the opportunity to try different beers and get to know the variety on offer.- The atmosphere in the restaurant was attractive and cozy, which contributed to a pleasant overall impression.Negative:- My medium steak, for which I paid 27 euros, was very bloody when served and did not meet my expectations. Despite my complaint and frying the steak again (€27 twice fried), the taste remained marginal.- The restaurant's response to my complaint was disappointing. There was no adequate apology or attempt to resolve the issue. Instead the steak was charged in full, which disappointed me.- The older lady behind the counter's lack of reaction to my complaint reinforced the impression of a lack of customer focus. There was a lack of a proactive approach to resolve customer issues and ensure a positive experience. Her tone became increasingly unfriendly.- The cashier was not only unfriendly, but also seemed to blame the guest. Their lack of professionalism contributed to an unpleasant atmosphere and increased my dissatisfaction with the visit.Summary:Overall, my experience at the Hotel zum Röddenberg's restaurant was disappointing. The quality problems with the steak and the inappropriate handling of my complaint severely affected the positive impression of nice service and a pleasant atmosphere. Based on this experience I cannot recommend the restaurant. As a suggestion for improvement, I would note that proactively resolving customer issues, perhaps through small tokens or compensation, could increase guest satisfaction and contribute to a more positive overall experience.
