I can only rate the food, not the hotel as I didn't stay there. At first I couldn't believe my eyes, but it was actually true, the waitress was serving her guests in sweatpants.Positive that food came very quickly.I ordered the fillet steak for €26.50, which was a disgrace in terms of quality. The fillet was so stringy and tough that I absolutely couldn't chew it. For this price it's not possible at all. This has nothing to do with "fillet". Once and never again. I've never had such bad food.

Unfortunately the food was just average and the meat was fried to death.

We ate twice at the Hotel Rehberg. On the first day everything was great, the waitress was very attentive and everything was to the best of our satisfaction. Eating out on day 2 was just a flop. The owner took orders but forgot to forward them to the kitchen, so the waiting time was very long, and not just for us. Other guests wanted the ice cream menu and after a while decided to leave. The new waiter asked the guests what they had ordered and whether appetizers had been served yet. The bread served came straight from the fridge, the cheese was cold and there was no sign of service. You couldn't even order more drinks because the waiter didn't come by that often. We had the feeling that the staff was completely overwhelmed on the second evening. There were problems with the card reader when cashing out and the owner was visibly irritated and threw the receipt with the rejected payment attempt on the table and asked for other payment options. After another attempt, including transporting the card reader towards the router location, the payment finally worked. The owner had now noticed that the amplifier was missing from the router. None of our problems. In short it wasn't 3 stars! We won't go there a third time.

We have been going there on and off for years and are more and more disappointed with each visit. The food was little and the taste for 6 people was 4x a 4 and 2x a 3-.We won't eat there again in the future. Service is indifferent, grumpy or unfriendly. All in all, no longer recommended!

We stayed there for two days, it was clean, the breakfast was delicious and the service was very friendly. The rooms are a bit old, but that didn't bother us. We would definitely visit the hotel again on our next stay in the Harz.
