We felt very comfortable. Only the baby bed was forgotten. But we had ours with us. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. We would come again!

Terrible. Old, broken and uncomfortable. Cheap facility. Loveless. The prices cannot be justified. Never again! Came and left straight away. Extremely loud due to busy streets. Of course there was no money back. No accommodation. The pictures do not represent reality. Sad!

The city center can be reached on foot in ~ 20 minutes or by bus (only 3 stops).|Cleanliness: I only stayed for 2 nights and during that time my room was not cleaned.|Breakfast: Average breakfast, not many options. No pastries.|Prices: A bit expensive considering the location, service and breakfast.

Nice hotel that can be reached quickly from the motorway. Near the University of Göttingen. Everything very clean and inviting. Attractive reception hall, bar and attractive restaurant with beautiful furniture and flowers on the tables. We felt welcome. The entire hotel is very clean and in good condition. The rooms are attractive, the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and offers a good selection with everything you need. I would particularly like to highlight the super nice staff. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean. Unfortunately, they forgot to put a trash can in the bathroom. Only the opening mechanism was where someone would have had to go.The breakfast was okay. It was all there. The rolls were very hard one day and probably from the previous day. An effort has been made, although one or two of the employees could be a little friendlier.

The hotel was well suited for our purpose - an overnight stay in transit for four - because it is close to the motorway and family rooms are available. The breakfast buffet was rich and the rooms were nicely decorated.There is a casino in the immediate vicinity.

Price is ok for Göttingen conditions.Rooms are getting old and quite noisy. Location is right outside of Göttingen. Check-in takes what feels like ages because the receptionist can't manage to check in 3-4 people.The hotel has potential, but needs to be managed differently.

Rooms are functionally furnished. Ideal as an overnight stay as the hotel is close to the motorway.Buffet breakfast, casual.If the hotel is on our route, we would be happy to come back.

Not a place I want to return to.The first rooms we got were not arranged from the last visitor. Then we got ten new rooms, and they weren't ready either. In the 3rd attempt we got rooms so it had to be ready.However, despite these appearing to be ready, the cleaning was something that could be done quite a bit better. In addition, there was no air conditioning. If you opened the windows, the room was immediately filled with the smell of smoke (either from guests standing at the window and smoking in their room, from guests standing in front of the hotel smoking, or from people smoking on the common terrace).If you closed the window, you were about to suffocate from heat and beds/pillows/rooms (yes in the majority) which smelled of heavy male perfume/sweat.Bathrooms were immediately fine, if you disregard the loose toilet, noisy extraction and sports without lights.No English skills by staff.

**Review for the Hotel Astoria in Göttingen**The Hotel Astoria in Göttingen impressed me with its nice and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is a bit old, especially in the rooms in the lower price range, but the rooms are clean and the price-performance ratio is fair.The lobby and entrance area as well as the breakfast area are absolutely fine. The rolls are not from the bakery, but in my opinion that is no reason for complaint. The staff I met are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.As a fitter, I have seen many hotels, including some that I will never visit again. The Hotel Astoria is definitely not one of them. Considering the age of the hotel, everything is fine here.

It's located in a commercial area, so it's not that nice, but very good service, good breakfast and, for a 3-star hotel, good and clean rooms. On the evening of the European Championship there was a big TV in the reception hall and the game was on. Good pizza + beer. Nice service + boss. From there it's 7 minutes to Göttingen city center by car or bus. We can recommend it!

The hotel itself is not a new building but an older design. You could renovate it, but then the price will be higher. I especially have to say something positive about the breakfast management. The team provided special spelled rolls and prepared them freshly. It's not always possible like that.Very guest friendly!
