Rooms were good, the service wasn't good at all because the foreign lady was unfortunately very rude. The food wasn't good at all because it was just warmed up. So it had nothing to do with the standard restaurant. Also too expensive for that. You can bring dogs.

The lady at reception was very friendly and everything went smoothly. The room is relatively dark, only the "entrance door" could be folded down or opened completely and no other window to open.No signpost on the road to the hotel and the breakfast is okay. The hotel is remote and can only be reached by car.The service for drinks took a long time at dinner, even though it wasn't really full.

We wouldn't go there again and we weren't given the spa card at reception. The room itself was very spacious, unfortunately the closet safe didn't work. The Haarfhön also went up in smoke. There would be a cozy fireplace in the lounge if it wasn't equipped with a light trap. Unfortunately, parking spaces are not always available and if you arrive a little later you are forced to park down in the village. The breakfast, well, we've eaten worse, but if you're looking for regional dishes like good ham or homemade jam, you won't find it here. Even the fruit salad was from a can. On the first day there was cappuccino and co. Never again after that, we were there from Monday to Friday. It's a shame, it could be better, the view on the terrace is great, but that's about it.

I'm actually disappointed with the hotel - the pictures on booking are probably a bit older? The hotel is very shabby. And the breakfast offering also leaves a lot to be desired. Three types of sausage and some cheese. Bad fruit salad, nothing regional, which was actually promised. All in all, there are better hotels for the money.

We spent 2 nights here. The hotel is very remote but with a beautiful view. The first impression wasn't the best as it appeared very unkempt on the outside. There were old, dried-out plants everywhere, probably still left over from last winter. When we registered we were greeted with little professionalism. When we got to the assigned double room we were in for a surprise because the room was occupied. So go back down 2 floors and complain. The new room was modernly furnished with a very large bathroom, and the price-performance ratio was right. The hotel is probably very popular with dog owners, but it is questionable whether the carpets in the rooms and staircase contribute to hygiene. Hence the complained about dog smells in the rooms. The food was okay, not a highlight but reasonably priced. However, the breakfast was a disappointment for us, there was little choice and the coffee was unreasonable. On the second morning we decided not to and went into town for breakfast. You get the impression that this house is in a state of flux and efforts are being made to modernize it. However, a trained eye for detail is missing here. The stairs to the rooms, which were patched with various adhesive strips, are just further evidence. And for heaven's sake remove the dead plants in the dining area and patio. We certainly won't come back because we didn't feel comfortable at all. It's a shame the house had potential.

The staff was super friendly and the style and furnishings in the hotel were also great. You have a really nice view from the hotel, but it's already far from the crowd and not in Hahnenklee but in Bockswiese. We had a room in the converted attic and it was relatively small (despite being deluxe) and super noisy. Because of the lack of hearing I would spend a maximum of 2 days here. We were there with our dog, which worked well. However, we had to walk up a lot of stairs. You should somehow know that beforehand, right? Suggestions for improvement: more choice at breakfast, smaller pillows.

All in all, you can find very good accommodation here for little money in the low season.The hotel is obviously currently in the renovation phase. The rooms, the guest room, the foyer and the sanitary facilities have undergone a general overhaul. Of course, we don't know whether this affects all rooms.We stayed here for two nights and can't complain.There are enough parking spaces right in front of the door. Check-in went smoothly.The room was bright and clean. The bathroom too.The guests staying with us were from a quieter semester, so there was no excessive noise. They were all traveling couples.The breakfast was nicely prepared and sufficient. Everyone has found something here.We sat down to eat in the restaurant on the first evening and were more impressed than put off by the small menu. Everyone can find something here.Meat and fish were fresh and served quickly.The soup and dessert were also very good.Requests were quickly addressed.It is true that there is a different mentality than usual in the hotel. The employees who were present when we were there were almost exclusively from other backgrounds. However, that didn't bother me. All the more effort was made to make a good impression and fulfill wishes.In particular, the location to surrounding attractions has many plus points!We can recommend a stay.
