Unfortunately, dinner was a complete disappointment.The great breakfast and the friendly reception couldn't make up for this overall impression.I would have expected something different from a 4 star hotel and €500 for 2 nights.

The hotel is in a great location and everything is within walking distance: chair lift, bike rental, restaurants or perfect as a starting point for hiking.The staff is super friendly and always tries hard.There is plenty of parking behind the hotel or a large free public car park.There is a small pool and a separate sauna area with a steam room, an infrared sauna and a normal sauna.

This hotel impresses with its clean rooms, good breakfast and a manageable, quiet wellness area. From here you can easily explore the Bocksberg and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.There are some parking spaces on site, or alternatively a few meters up the street in a large public parking lot, where there was always space.Only the WiFi (poor reception) and the TVs could be better for my taste, then it would be perfect.

We only ate in the restaurant here. We will also spend the night there, we regularly vacation in Hahnenklee.The food in the restaurant is very good. They have a small menu with pizza, burgers, steak and schnitzel. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes very good.The service is good and the employees are very friendly and attentive.

We are thrilled!We received a very nice and friendly welcome, there are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel and in the surrounding area. The room was clean, tidy and huge :)Everything in the sauna area and the swimming pool is also clean, there is enough choice, you can relax very well in the steam bath, the Finnish sauna and the infrared cabin, and you can also do some sport in the pool with a counter-current system.Dinner is available either as a buffet or a la carte, decided by the chef. During our stay there was a large, varied and very high quality buffet. There is also something for everyone at breakfast.We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back very soon 😊

First of all it was nice except for dinner. I have a lactose/fructose allergy. But that wasn't possible in this 4 star restaurant. In addition, the awards for the food are missing. Only when I pointed it out loudly in the restaurant and compared the hotel to a kiosk did it suddenly work. Then you feel like you're being generalized. The staff, the rooms and the wellness area were fine until the towels, which were always missing.

We stayed at the Walpurgishof for a week and had a very nice time....The room was connected to the neighboring room through a connecting door and was therefore very noisy...We also didn't have a wardrobe, only shelves...hence only 3 stars ....The small but nice swimming pool offered great relaxation after the hikes...the service was excellent in all areas...friendly service staff helped competently with questions and concerns...requests were taken into account, e.g. a seat in the dining room. ....The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient...it left nothing to be desired and anyone who still wanted something special got it....The evening buffet was varied, varied and very tasty...a large selection of salads, Fish, meat, vegetables and various side dishes with delicious sauces as well as a small cold buffet: very good...The dessert was also great...often there was delicious ice cream in addition to creams, cakes etc....I wouldn't like to leave it unmentioned the delicious daily changing soups.... The hotel is located in a prominent location in Hahnenklee and many hiking trails start right in front of the door.... The stave church is also just a stone's throw away and is definitely worth a visit.... More of a family hotel than a wellness hotelWe spent a short vacation from Thursday to Sunday at the Walpurgishof, also paying attention to the wellness aspect and the quality of a 4 star hotel.The complex is beautifully located and offers many opportunities for leisure activities in the area. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.However, it was clear from the restaurant staff that the majority of them had entered the catering industry without any training and as a result the service was sometimes uncoordinated. It also makes a bad impression if the staff at the buffet is already opening plates for the staff while the buffet is running and they are communicating with each other in a clearly audible manner.The first evening in the hotel's restaurant was very quiet and had a relaxed atmosphere. At breakfast on Friday we were asked to choose between 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. as the time for dinner as a group of 50+ people was expected and the capacities needed to be coordinated a little. This increased number of people in combination with the behavior of the tour group transformed the restaurant from a 4**** hotel into a loud, restless school camp where you couldn't eat quickly enough to leave the restaurant.The request whether one could possibly sit at another table in the neighboring room, away from the tour group, the following evening was rejected because they wanted to keep it free for walk-in customers from the connected restaurant "Schwarzer Kater".

We stayed at the Walpurgishof for 5 days and really enjoyed it. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is modern and has a large shower. The furniture is in good condition and the daily cleaning was thorough.The breakfast is terrific and the buffet in the evening, which is included in the half board, is tasty and of good quality.The drink prices are generally average.The wellness area is small but sufficient.The entire team is friendly and attentive.All in all - a nice holiday 👍🏼🙂
