We were there in room 217 in September 2024. It was just beautiful. The cook is a god. The room was very nice but the TV reception could be better. A great terrace for that. So we were able to enjoy the evening with a view of the surroundings and a glass of wine. Sometimes nice too. We'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Waldhotel Seebachschleife with our dog for 14 nights in September. We booked the trip through Reisen Aktuell.Location:The hotel is in a very quiet location just off the B11, not far from the edge of the forest. There are about a handful of residential buildings in the area, as well as a small hydroelectric power station and a very old, empty former workers' apartment building. There are several options for hiking directly from the hotel without having to use the car. There are paths to the Großer Arbersee (approx. 4 km), hiking trails along the Großer Regen towards Bayrisch Eisenstein or towards Zwiesel or paths towards Zwieseler Waldhaus with the jungle there.Hotel:Even though the hotel is a bit old, we were very happy with our large room with balcony. The balcony is not separated from the neighboring rooms, but runs along the entire front, which didn't bother us.For the beds, the hotel should consider replacing the slatted frame and mattress, as they are already a bit sagging. The bathroom wasn't very big but sufficient with a spacious shower. The sink is a little lower than usual. The room was carpeted and vacuumed daily. Signs of use didn't bother us.The swimming pool is large enough to swim a few strokes. The hydrojet massage offered was very relaxing. Both the parking lot and the rooms can be reached via elevator.Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a bar where you can have a drink and sit comfortably together in the evening (after 9 p.m.).Food:We had booked half board. There was a choice of three 4-course menus every day. The menu consisted of a small salad plate, soup, main course and dessert. The dishes were consistently very tasty. If you had a smaller appetite, you could also order half portions of the main course. The breakfast buffet was rich and you could take rolls or bread or fruit, yoghurt or other things with you as a packed lunch for the hike. The coffee from the machine was very good.Staff:The staff, mostly from the Czech Republic, was friendly and competent. The cleaning team in particular did a very good job. Conclusion:The Waldhotel Seebachschleife offers an excellent price-performance ratio. We would spend our vacation there again at any time, even for a longer period of time.

Have been here a few times to stay overnight. The location is a dream, you have everything you need in the rooms, I think there's even a balcony everywhere. Breakfast was delicious, everything was there. Dinner in the evening wasn't great, the woman serving was totally overwhelmed, you could tell she was annoyed. Otherwise everything was fine. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful, cozy 3* hotel designed in a regional style, located in the middle of the beautiful Bavarian Forest.Hiking trails to various destinations start right next to the hotel. The hotel is neat and clean.Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, the boss is also super nice. The breakfast buffet is rich and sufficient, as standard various types of sausage, as well as cheese, jams, fruit, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, yoghurt and quark and much more. The changing evening menu from regional and Czech cuisine is delicious and plentiful, there is always salad, soup, main course and dessert. We were here with our Labrador lady, so dogs are very welcome here.We really enjoyed it here and would like to take this opportunity to thank you again.Thank you for the lovely days with you.Yes, we are here again because we liked it so much. This time we also brought our daughter with us.It was really nice again.Once again, many thanks to the entire team and the Pfeifer familyWe'll definitely come back
