The perfect place for a vacation. You just have to feel comfortable. Rooms are large and clean, the food is simply great, the wellness area is a dream and the location is perfect for all activities. We felt very comfortable. All staff are helpful, friendly and do everything they can to ensure their guests have a great holiday. If something doesn't fit, it will be remedied immediately. Even though we were a bit unlucky with the weather and the outdoor pool was unfortunately closed after the second day, the rest of the wellness area was still very enjoyable.The lack of WiFi, which many people complain about, is also not a problem. It's very pleasant when there isn't someone sitting in every corner with a laptop and saying that it wouldn't work without it. After all, you are on vacation. If necessary, you can go to the hotel lobby and pursue your online urges there.Of course, in some places you can see that something could be reworked or renovated, but there are also some guests who are partly responsible for this condition when you see how they treat other people's property.In any case, we really enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back soon.

We have been visiting this beautiful facility from time to time for many years. Unfortunately, this hotel also suffers from the complicated situation. Even if you only notice it in little things, you notice it. Our dear grandchild wants to come back next year. And that's all that counts ☝️

We were in the hotel for the third time and it was incredibly relaxing again. The rooms are a pleasant size, including the bathroom, which has a very well-maintained shower. The staff at reception as well as in the rooms and in the dining area were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner were presented as a buffet. Very tasteful and above all very tasty. The wellness area (large indoor pool, large outdoor pool and the sauna area) are well maintained and you can always exchange the towels provided by the hotel.All in all a very relaxing holiday, we would love to come back.

Anyone who has booked a chalet for the first time will certainly have few complaints. However, we had already tested several chalets and in comparison the Riederin performed significantly worse. For example, the bed is right in the entrance area, there is no bedroom. Even worse is the open toilet, a half-height swinging door separates it from the bathroom and the wellness relaxation area. The reasons are inexplicable to me why there is no real door.The breakfast basket was a disappointment, as was the evening buffet included in the price. Very spartan and carelessly arranged. The waitress scurried through the aisles in a stressed manner; in this price range you can expect a lot more.We found it positive that the price included a bottle of red and white wine as well as a bottle of Prosseco and two bottles of beer. Sauna and whirlpool were large, nice and clean.

We were here for the 5th time. And as always, it was very nice. We again had a room with a view towards Bodenmais. All the employees in the hotel were super friendly, whether cleaning lady, receptionist, waiter or cook. Breakfast was very tasty, the afternoon snack was also delicious and varied every day. The buffet dinner was simply a dream. The pool area is clean and very quiet. Definitely coming back.

After more than 14 years we were once again at the Hotel “Riederin” in Bodenmais. We had booked a 4-day package which included ¾ board.We got a nice room with a view of the chalets, which was tastefully decorated. There is also nothing to complain about when it comes to cleanliness. The swimming pool is very nice, in addition to a small outdoor area, which can be reached through a “lock”, it also offers various massage jets and bubbles as well as a nice warm whirlpool.We really liked the ¾ board. While some offerings only offer cake and a limited selection of “afternoon snacks”, here there was a bit of everything. Various cakes, sausage/cheese & even a warm dish as a soup or e.g. Chilli con Carne.Dinner is buffet style. The fish and meat came from the show cooking grill - it couldn't be fresher prepared. It doesn't matter if there's no service. It's also good if you can put together the quantity of side dishes yourself. The buffets were varied... whether as an Italian buffet with scampi as a starter and then fish, chicken or various types of pasta or as a Bavarian buffet with pork neck, liver loaf, dumplings, mushroom sauce and much more. The desserts were also always very tasty - 6 different types of ice cream, different creams & the banana slices and pineapple pieces covered in chocolate were particularly delicious.The reduced service, like everywhere else, was very attentive and friendly, as were all the employees in the hotel.What we know for sure after this stay... it definitely won't be another 14 years before we come back. Thanks to the summer toboggan run and the revamped forest treetop path in St. Englmar, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car, you can go there with the grandchildren.

Very nice and well-run hotel with large, always clean rooms and a functional bathroom with a large shower - we had one of these on the 1st floor - the service in the room was impeccable and always at the same time.Negative: no WiFi in the room and the fridge was empty.We booked the 4 for 3 package, which was good value for money.The prices for drinks in the restaurant and bar were absolutely reasonable. The food (breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner) left nothing to be desired. The offer was huge from morning to evening. At breakfast there was a large selection of everything, so there was nothing to complain about. The lunchtime brunch, sweet or savory, whetted the appetite for dinner, which was offered in buffet form. I would have preferred a menu that could be selected because one of us was always out and about, but then the selection would be smaller...The Bavarian evening with typical delicacies was outstanding, as was the dessert buffet, which was sensational.There is a huge bar to relax in, but unfortunately it is not permanently staffed...The wellness and sauna area was very well maintained and clean and we used it every day after hikes to swim and sauna. All in all a lovely short break with good hosts.We could easily reach everything on foot, with the guest card you could use the forest railway free of charge, since there was hardly any snow, we took advantage of that. Hikes to Joska, Bodenmais town center and to the Gutsalm or Riedener Felsen were our other activities.We will definitely come back

Per:Beautiful hotel, pleasant location, very courteous service, and incredibly delicious food!Cons:The wellness area - the ultimate disappointment. The relaxation area is not heated, so it's really fresh in the small room. Relaxing in the indoor pool is also more of a wishful thinking. No loungers where you can cuddle or lounge with your partner, just these uncomfortable stools that keep slipping apart. Screaming, raging, screaming children are the highlight of our stay ;)WiFi is only available in the hotel lobby. I don't understand, and I don't know if I've ever been to a hotel that didn't have internet in every area.Rooms - nice, cozy, and clean! But the beds are hard. So if you prefer to sleep softly, these mattresses are absolutely not for you.

We have been regular guests at Riederin's for around 20 years and always feel very comfortable there. The furnishings of the rooms and the wellness area, the choice of food and, above all, the friendly, courteous service staff always impress us. The location is ideal as a starting point for a variety of hikes and activities between Arber, Falkenstein and Regental.

My wife and I had booked a short vacation in the Riederin Almdorf Chalet for 3 nights. We received a very friendly welcome and were then shown our accommodation with a short tour and technical introduction. The chalet is a dream and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. The rooms are luxuriously furnished and very, very clean, you don't see a speck of dust. We used everything extensively after our hiking trips, sauna, whirlpool, fireplace, which is really good after an exhausting day of hiking. We used the breakfast basket for the chalet as well as breakfast in the hotel. Simply outstanding. Above all, the dinners, which are included in the price, are worth special praise. We really enjoyed it and the selection of food was also very good. We'll be happy to come back, especially if we get a deal, because the prices are adjusted accordingly to the luxury chalets.
