Very nice hotel with great rooms (5*) and a very nice and unobtrusive service, plus a breakfast buffet that wasn't particularly extensive but was completely sufficient and delicious.What can't keep up with the great ambience are the bathrooms with showers, which you would rather find at Ibis and Co., and the restaurant. The menu is quite varied, but the presentation of the food is absolutely loveless and in terms of taste, we had a total failure of two dishes with half-raw potatoes and tasteless, also half-raw vegetables with the fish, which tasted acceptable at best.

Charmingly furnished and friendly run hotel with a beer garden under old chestnut trees. The menu offers tasty food for everyone at fair prices.The spacious, well-kept rooms with clean bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay.The breakfast is extensive, the food served is of very good quality and taste, as is known from the food processing trade.Overall, the price and performance are right here.

We spent a wonderful weekend in this hotel with a larger group of friends.It doesn't get any better. A beautiful place, rooms spacious, of course clean and well furnished. Location is absolutely quiet with a great beer garden. Both the breakfast and the offer in the restaurant leave nothing to be desired, as well as a very nice and helpful team in the hotel and restaurant. All of this at a really fair price-performance ratio. We can fully recommend the Waldschloss and would be happy to come back.Many thanks to the entire team for the lovely stay!!!

We stayed there as a family for two nights, 2 adults and one child.The good reviews prompted us to book this hotel.Now I'll just list what was positive and what was negative for us.Positive: nice staff in the restaurant and good food there, clean rooms, good location.Negative: (unfortunately a little more): we booked a multi-bed room, so I find it almost cheeky to offer a covered couch or corner bench as a bed.Unfortunately, I couldn't see anything about the highly praised breakfast there, maximum standard, you had to constantly tell the specialist what was empty, otherwise nothing would have been filled there for ages. We always look forward to breakfast in the hotel. We would be disappointed here.The staff at reception upon arrival just said hello. Then the key and briefly when there is food. There's no question about how it was to arrive, whether you've been here before. When asked what tips one could give for a trip, there was a shrug of the shoulders and reference was made to the flyers.In my opinion, the price quoted for 2 nights for this entire package is too high.The next time you stay in Passau there will definitely be another accommodation.This review refers purely to our personal perception over the three days, we know everyone has a different one, but depending on what is desired here as standard, our stay was only mediocre.We wish them much success in the future

Beautifully located, almost in Austria. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet. But still only a few minutes walk down the mountain to Passau. Very large selection at breakfast.

Very nice hotel with a large beer garden. The rooms are very stylish and tasteful, very clean! Breakfast buffet very varied and is always refilled. Boss and staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Location is great, but with a steep approach for cyclists. We as a group felt very comfortable there. I would book the hotel again at any time.
