Ok, entrance very dark, rooms on the 3rd floor are very large, but overall the house is getting old, service and breakfast are very good.

Any interesting stay. Sometimes family run places miss the beat of the importance of being a gracious host. The rooms were clean but dated. The position of the hotel is great. After travelling far to get there , one would assume a friendlier reception.We can't say the stay was bad , but it certainly won't be memorable and we'll book elsewhere next visit.A room is a room , your service and hosting ability is what sets a great travel experience apart from others.Waitress in the restaurant was lovely.

The hotel entrance is dark and doesn't seem very inviting. The room on the 3rd floor is spacious and clean. The price/performance ratio is consistent. The pizza was delicious, the dough could have stood for another 2 minutes. The Kaiserschmarrn was delicious and the special beers from the Stiftsbrauerei were also impressive.

We ate lunch at the hotel's restaurant. The service was quick, accurate and attentive. I had deer goulash and potato pancakes. They were delicious.

This hotel is run down and it’s in need of a major renovation. Also, the entire hotel smells like cigarettes. Towels had holes on them and for the breakfast the fruit seem like it went bad.

We visited the restaurant for dinner. The notice on the entrance door to the restaurant is very pleasing: “Dogs not allowed”.Finally an inn where you could eat in peace without dog fleas and dog hair.We thought so, but it was worse.We had just been served our food when there was an incredibly loud dog barking and two medium-sized dogs were constantly racing back and forth through all the dining rooms, many of us eating food out of our mouths.And now we had what we didn't actually want, see above.The peace and quiet was over and you lose your appetite, even with the best meal.When asked the innkeeper, “these dogs are part of the family and they are allowed to do that.”A lot was promised and nothing was kept, that is lived and practiced deterrence of guests.

Good choice if you want to go further with a river cruise ship. Cheap parking but above all a top hotel with great service and a beautiful location!

Perfect if you want to travel away from Engelhartszell by ship. You can leave your car there and walk a few meters to the ship.If you are traveling for a longer period of time, we recommend staying overnight. You are in very good hands there.Can really recommend 👍👍👍
