Very nicely located. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a family atmosphere. The food is absolutely great and very varied. The rooms are cozy and very clean.

The stay was really excellent. We then started talking to the owner about events and should please write an email. I did that. 4 times within several months and I received no response to my friendly request. Accordingly, this house is no longer a destination for us if it is not even worth it and lacks the professionalism to respond to emails. We don't go there anymore. One thing is relaxation, but the fact that it was related to business unfortunately made us not go there anymore.

A lovingly run hotel. Very friendly operators and staff. Nice spa area with a swimming pool. Very good breakfast and dinner. We've been there twice now and would love to come back.

We were there for hiking and cycling.The location is perfect for this. We really liked the hotel. The staff in particular are super friendly and the service is great. I would also like to particularly highlight the food (half board). It was very varied and tasty.If we travel to the Bavarian Forest again, we will definitely go back to the Hotel Sonnenhof.

Very cozy room with a renovated bathroom and comfortable bed. We were also lucky enough to get a corner balcony. Unfortunately we were only there for one day.In the evening we went swimming in the indoor pool and in the infrared cabin, which we really enjoyed.The service was super friendly and provided us with everything we needed. Unfortunately we couldn't test dinner due to the rest day, but the breakfast was very varied and very tasty. In addition to fresh fruit pancakes, there were also pastries and fresh fruit.We were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back if the opportunity arises again.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, really friendly staff and nothing is too much to ask. Owner very friendly and helpful.The food is really great, plenty of everything and delicious and you can see that it is made with love and quality.All sights are within a short distance or walking distance. Recommended for people who love beautiful nature and sights.

Very nice little hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hosts were always present and gave good tips about the area. We were able to park and charge our bikes in the garage. Top breakfast and dinner. We would love to come back 👍

We booked a room for one night through Check24 last year.This was intended for one of our wedding guestsI received the booking confirmation from Check24.Apparently the hotel “cancelled” this booking exclusively via an email. Apparently one-day guests are not welcome.However, the hotel did not cancel the booking via Check24 and so the booking was shown to me as booked and confirmed. I even transferred the money in May.Then, on our wedding day, there was a shock. No room for our guest.The hotel and boss didn't care at all because they had “cancelled”.So if a hotel offers its rooms through portals, you should also be able to cancel them through them.This excitement an hour before our wedding really didn't have to happen.I subsequently contacted Check24 and got my money back.Tip in the hotel next door Magdalenenhof everything was tried to provide us with rooms for an overnight stay. Better go there ;)

The room was very nice and comfortably furnished. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired thanks to its large selection and the evening menu was also convincing. Both the owner and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and ensured that we were able to spend a completely relaxed first holiday as a family.

Not possible to have a drink in the evening. We are turned away at 9:00 PM because they are closing. The hired staff present is not friendly. Even had to ask for a drink in the evening, which is actually not the intention. Everything goes on time and there is no way to deviate from it.
