Central location with quiet rooms with a view of the Danube. Our room was very large and had comfortable beds. Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the house (anymore?), but you can reach various restaurants in the old town in just a few minutes. The exceptional breakfast is particularly worth mentioning: a huge selection of baked goods with everything that makes a great breakfast. And all in first-class quality!

I had a single room in the attic facing the Danube. Yes, you can hear the traffic on the bridge or a transport ship passing by, but I didn't find it annoying. The room is very large as a single room and the bathroom is also unusually large for a hotel room and even has a bathtub and shower! There is also an air conditioning unit with an exhaust pipe in the room. I slept very well. And in the morning the breakfast buffet!! Super!!! A huge buffet with fresh rolls, bread, cakes, cookies, various toppings, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and even oranges that you can freshly squeeze and also a vegetable juicer. And if something ran out it was immediately refilled!! Very friendly staff too. I wonder, if you look at the prices of other hotels, is it really worth it at €79/night for a single room, or are others more profitable? I will definitely come back here on my next field tour!!

Since we stayed in both the Hotel Höttl and the Donauhof in Deggendorf this weekend, I would like to compare these two hotels. One thing in advance: Both hotels are great! And both boast excellent breakfasts.Our room in the Donauhof was a lot bigger, and I found the bed even more comfortable. At breakfast, the fruit salad is better, which only contains freshly cut fruit. And all the pastries are even crispier, more choice and some very tasty homemade cakes. The cappuccino is also a tiny bit better. On the other hand, Höttl excels with the fresh egg dishes, the cheese (with fig mustard) and the nuts (macadamia seeds).The great spa also speaks for the Höttl. But this is also a lot more expensive. The Donauhof is not located directly in the pedestrian zone like the Höttl, but the city is still easy to reach on foot and has free parking spaces right in front of the door. We felt very comfortable. All the employees were very nice and attentive. Thanks for the stay.

The reception welcomes the hotel guests very stylishly, all the employees there were always very friendly and helpful. ❤There is a special locked garage for bicycles (you can get the key at reception) and thanks to a few sockets you also have the opportunity to charge the bicycle battery.👍The breakfast buffet is fresh every day, really rich and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Rarely have we had such a diverse selection. TOP!!👏👍❤Our favorite place was the winter garden, which is bright, friendly and modern.There are also enough tables in the house.The service staff is always super friendly and very attentive. 🙏❤Our room wasn't entirely modern, but it was spacious, very clean and had a large TV. 👍The bathroom was small but completely sufficient for us.From Deggendorf you can go on great hiking and cycling tours and the old town with many great shops is within walking distance.We would only like to see changes for a few points in the future: 😇Our room was on the south side with full sunlight, but without the possibility of closing a window/shutter, so the room heated up extremely during the day. Even if you can close the curtains, the heat builds up behind them and of course spreads throughout the room.The existing fan could only circulate the hot air; unfortunately there was no way to cool down during the entire, largely sleepless night. 🥵We would either like an outside darkening option so that the heat doesn't come into the room, or a small air conditioning system. 😊The lighting in the bathroom is absolutely sufficient for showering and washing your hands. 👍But I need brighter light to put on make-up, the existing one is far too dark for that.The make-up mirror can no longer be adjusted and tilts downwards, so unfortunately it's not really usable.Although a sign in the bathroom stated that towels would only be changed when they were in the bathtub, and we actually think this environmental idea was wonderful, they were still replaced with fresh ones after just one use.It would be great if the (really, really friendly) room staff adhered to the requirement on the sign.We are still happy to recommend the hotel because we felt very comfortable here. 👍🥳🥰👏❤🥰👍🌞💝😊❤😊😃👍👍Apart from the extreme heat in the room, everything else is probably a complaint on a high level. 🤷♀️🙈

Friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was very good and plentiful! The restaurant is no longer open, but you can use the dining room to bring your own food. Or something from the delivery service....For us, this is a new quality in relation to the shortage of skilled workers. You can order drinks of all kinds here.The rooms are very noisy, and anyone who has a room facing the street needs a very sound sleep. Sleeping with the window open, impossible!

Perfect hotel with goodLocation in relation to the highway. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, but there are plenty within walking distance. Rooms are fine, only showering in the bath while there is no good exit from the bath. You can't hold on and there is a high chance of slipping. So it is dangerous. No air conditioning, but a fan available.Breakfast buffet is top notch.
