Let's get straight to the point, otherwise it won't be clear why this fundamentally outstanding golf region "only" receives 2 stars.Service at Gutshof Penning: 5 stars, from reception to room service (sensational!!!). Cuisine: Fantastic. Small menu, changing marginally over the course of the season, overall well coordinated, something for everyone.The but: once again the four of us wanted to play an RPR round. In 2023, after a lot of back and forth via email, it worked in advance. Not again in 2024. Reason: The software and the effort. My conclusion: the self-proclaimed "largest golf resort in Europe" cannot provide the simplest standard of technology, which, for example, is solved in a standard 9-hole club as follows: insert scorecards, everyone has signed, a few days later the result is online. Unfortunately, a symbol of the embarrassing image of outdated administration. Why only 2 points now?Because in my opinion, the antiquated attitude towards the new HCPI system is not a good thing for such a great resort.Yes, probably 70% of the guests are 70+ and they don't care about the HCPI. But, the following sentence has been said 100 times, but unfortunately it fits again: if you don't move with the times, you move with the times.

Nice atmosphere, attentive service and very good breakfast buffet and dinner menu. Once the remaining rooms are renovated, the hotel will live up to its status. You don't necessarily have to play golf; the hotel with its thermal baths is also suitable for hiking and cycling.

After I registered for the tournament via the homepage, I was referred to the waiting list. It said that: “… the player himself is responsible for whether he was subsequently included in the field of participants or not. If a player who is on the waiting list subsequently joins the field of participants and does not appear for this competition, he will have to pay a registration fee and, in the case of guests, plus a green fee." So I will not be informed by the club whether I can and should play in any case pay. Greed is a dog and seemingly limitless! A club where the fee trap unfortunately lurks.

I went to the Fürstenhof for a wellness spa three times with my girlfriend. The entire staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast buffet was sensational. At dinner we were able to vary and change the side dishes. It tasted great and thanks for the kitchen being flexible, even when it was full. The facial treatment with Sonja was very pleasant and the Ayurvedic foot massage was very relaxing. We will come back in the hope that you stay that way!

5 friends spent a wellness weekend at the Fürstenhof. The food and service were excellent. We felt very comfortable in the wellness area. The Girlfriends 3 Bed Gallery Room is great for a slumber party. We were completely satisfied, many thanks to the friendly team at Fürstenhof.

Fantastic wellness hotel in Bad Griesbach Therme with its own thermal bath and sauna. Great service, very tasty and visually presented food, a lavish breakfast menu and a free morning sports program. It doesn't get any better for the price!

One of the large golf resorts. However, if I compare the frequency today with that of 20 years ago, I have to say that the department has seen better times.

The hotel is very outdated. Rooms are large and relatively clean, but there is no air conditioning. The corridors and staircases smell strongly like a nursing home. The carpets need to be replaced urgently.It is quite quiet, the average age of the guests is probably 65-70 years.Why only one star, well, if you get expired water in a 5 star hotel, it is simply not justified to give a better rating. And it's not just a few days expired. It's been more than 1.5 months!For 5 stars, I expect at least air conditioning and a reasonably functioning quality management.

A feel-good hotel, the service and the staff are uniquely helpful and friendly, especially Mr. Haase at the reception, we have rarely experienced such a friendly, helpful and competent receptionist. Thank you for the great service and we will definitely come back.

My girlfriend and I stayed here from Monday to Friday. On Wednesday my girlfriend felt so bad 2 hours after breakfast that she vomited several times until the evening. There was no doctor in the house itself, although there was a sign stating that a doctor was here. After thinking about what we should do for a long time, we decided to call the emergency doctor. Food intoxication was diagnosed in the hospital. At the time when my friend was allowed to leave the hospital and I wanted to clarify the matter with the senior hotel staff, I was told several times over the phone that it could not be proven exactly where the food poisoning came from. Furthermore, they are not doctors to be able to diagnose something like that. My girlfriend was in cramping pain, we missed 2 days to relax and we had a lot of stress and hassle with my girlfriend getting to the local hospital. My suggestion was, at least, to have the 2 lost days attached free of charge. This proposal was rejected. As a counter-suggestion we could have accepted a €70 voucher for our next trip. We gratefully declined this generous offer. We are very dissatisfied with the general service (apart from the room service) of this hotel and we are extremely stunned by the attempt to process our request and the voucher for €70. It seemed to us as if we were being fobbed off quickly and easily. For us it was a more exhausting than relaxing holiday!

It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, the complex is in great need of renovation, the kitchen was good, the staff was very friendly, the thermal area was good, the complex was mostly visited by senior citizens at the time of our visit. We paid EUR 634 for 2 nights half board with 1x massage in the SPA area, EUR 8 per night plus tourist tax for the parking garage. I paid this amount because I really expected a 5 star hotel.

At the beginning there was the thermal spring - then there was a hotel and then another and another... the Maximilian is the flagship, impressive, the lobby. You've never seen anything like this before. Well equipped with shops in and around the hotel, sufficient parking spaces (above and below ground), café, bar (with pool access and in summer, the pool bar), restaurant. The thermal baths are within walking distance and there is a complex of hotels and shops around it, 10 golf courses that have a hand in hand and a clinic.The focus is quite obvious, spa operations, meetings and congresses, as well as golf.At DAS LUDWIG, just a few steps away from Maximilian, there is child care all day, so parents can relax and run after the little white ball through the green while the children are entertained and fed.The whole facility seems well thought out, well signposted, there is enough variety on the site so that you don't have to interrupt your stay with time-consuming driving. A highlight is certainly the fitness area, which puts many gyms to shame.I personally visited the resort as part of a company incentive and it won't be my last visit.

The welcome at the hotel was very friendly. You can only find out where the rooms, dinner, etc. go if you ask.Our welcome package should have included a bottle of Prosecco and a sweet. It wasn't in the room and only arrived at one of us when we asked about it the next day. Prosecco is actually a vino frizzante. At least we were accommodated with the final bill.The room was a bit older. The wooden headboard of the bed scratched and dirty.The dinner on the first day was not good. Frozen croquettes, frozen beans, sauce and meat didn't taste good.Dinner on the 2nd evening was good. Breakfast was okay with a wide selection.The bar makes good cocktails. Even when asked, there are no peanuts or anything else here. I would like to see more service in a “5 star hotel”The spa area was OK and clean.The hotel is definitely past its best. There is still a lot of the old furnishings left, combined with new, more modern elements. However, it doesn't really work well. Not good for 5 stars.

Unfortunately, everything is no longer as golden as it might seem.Very friendly and helpful employees who are making the best of the current situation.The culinary offerings are outstanding, especially the various menus for dinner.
