Summer is very hot and there is no air conditioning

Best place to stay with friends.

I wouldn't recommend this hostel at all because the pictures are a complete lie. In the pictures it looks like it's at least a 3-star hostel, but that's not the case at all. There are cameras everywhere in cupboards in hallways and so on, you just feel like some of the staff are watching you Very nice but unfortunately not everyone. After 10 p.m. all the doors are closed and you are no longer allowed in and out. I would only recommend it for people who want to feel like they are in prison.

average hygiene at bathrooms and roomsnice atmosphere at the lobbybreakfast was good enoughspecifically:the bedsUnfortunately they had a few small bugs for the first days of my stay and some people of my group woke up with bites, and swollen eyelids occurred for 2 different people, different times and beds. The bunk beds also make a lot of noise when you move.the showershave no towels, shampoo or body wash so you have to bring your own. many showers don't even have a space to put your things while you wash yourself. i think only 2 of the 5 or so showers in one bathroom have a space for your things but thats enough since there is a few different bathrooms at each floor and not too many people. (One shower though has recently not been working properly; the shower on the right side of the female bathroom of the 3rd floor is not working properly as the water goes sideways, onto the wall so you can't really use it. it wasn't like that a week ago though)the toiletsthey were adequately clean, yet I highly doubt the fact that they are cleaned twice a day, as mentioned on each bathroom stall door. There was dust and dirt around the seat but not on it.some stalls didnt have a bin for feminine hygiene products but there were sanitary bags so it was usable.the breakfastit was fine. they had cereal, cow milk and oat/soya milk, yogurt, bread, ingredients for sandwiches, and apples and pears. Not a large variety but for the price i believe its okay. It is available everyday at about 7-10 in the morning.the decorthe rooms were not really beautiful, but they weren't badly designed either. i stayed in a room with 4 beds and it got really crowded. it had a closet (for which you could pay to get locks if needed), a small table with 4 chairs and a sink with a mirror. it was practical enough.the placeits close to public transport (underground and tram) and there is a supermarket nearby so its convinient.the stuff was nice and helpful :)overall it was okay. you can avoid problems by being prepared with all your shower products and maybe a bug spray. it wasn't terrible but it can definitely improve some aspects. i would stay again if needed. Recommended for people who are not expecting or need too much.Thank you !

Great hostel, staff very nice and great P/L ratio, I would highly recommend this hotel!

We had absolutely no expectations but being offered a room like that for €208 for 2 nights is really sad, stuffy hair all over the bed, no way to cool the room down a bit.We don't want to go into the communal showers any further.The staff was super friendly, but that was a real shame

I recommend this hostel, considering the price, which was very good. The rooms were clean, and even though we had a shared bathrooms, the sense of privacy was still great. The room also had a sink which was pretty helpful. There was also a kitchen downstairs and a room with table tennis. There were also some negatives, for example the lack of space to put your clothes and towels on in the shower and the tiny size of the bedroom.

You can't say anything against it, everything in the 2-bed room was clean, beds were freshly made, shower, soap, toilet paper, towels available, spacious with a table and 2 chairs, TV, clothes rack. Heating to warm up, window with a view of the inner courtyard, possibly because it's not directly in front, also quiet. Only in the bathroom it is very cold because there is no heating (we left the door open so that some of the room heat comes in. Price for Berlin is ok. Booking online was smooth.

AMSTEL Hostel in Berlin offers reasonable prices and a convenient location close to metro, tram, bus stations, and the central train station. However, the shared toilet and bathrooms are quite small, and also you need to pay extra for towels and bedsheets. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly, making it a decent choice if you're only looking for a place to sleep while exploring the city. It’s not recommended for families or kids.
