Definitely not recommended!!!!Where do I start? The rooms looked good in the pictures. I'm not a 5 star guest and can handle outdated inventory BUT you can still expect cleanliness. The pictures speak for themselves. We felt so uncomfortable. We traveled with a small dog and asked on the evening of arrival where we could have breakfast because the dog was not allowed in the dining room (which is really too small). We were then offered a table in the foyer and made a reservation for us. The next morning the unfriendly employee on the early shift asked us why we had reserved the table. We explained the situation to him. He replied very unfriendly and didn't offer us an alternative. The tables would be reserved for wheelchair users (which we as guests had no idea). When we got something from the sparse breakfast buffet and sat down at the table, the wheelchair users came and we had to immediately vacate our seat and stop our breakfast. No solution from the hotel. We do not recommend this hotel.

A small hotel with very nice staff who are all courteous. Room facing the courtyard was quiet, large and everything was clean. Some new hotels don't even have a kettle or coffee.Yes, it's getting old, a bit of freshening up would be good. I was here for the first time about 15 years ago.Location within walking distance of the city center, about 20 minutes.Private trip

I spent a night here on business, the hotel is very old and in urgent need of renovation. The cleanliness can definitely be improved. A colleague had a plate of cheese skewers in the fridge that must have been there for a few days, it didn't look appetizing. The breakfast was nothing special but sufficient and OK.

The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly.!Unfortunately it is right on the street and someone who is sensitive to noise definitely cannot sleep there until half past three 😅There is no chef there, so there is still a rich breakfast there until 10 a.m. a week!Overall it was okay to stay for 2 days!(mom, daughter 5)

We stayed there once many years ago and I was happy with it.This time, however, very disappointed. The cleanliness was unacceptable.The hotel urgently needs to be renovated with a lot of love and a lot of money.The service was very attentive and friendly and implemented my request for more cleanliness the following day. The breakfast was okay. There was everything you needed to start the day. However, the next day the fully automatic coffee machine was broken.That was a bit of a shame.The location is absolutely great if you're staying outside of Berlin and still want to get everywhere quickly.

A very well run hotel. Clean and tidy. This hotel is very suitable if you want to see Berlin. It's easy to get to Alexander Platz and everywhere.The rooms are clean and the beds are okay. The breakfast buffet was also okay. Dogs are allowed and there are restaurants in the immediate vicinity where you can have a good dinner.So we would book again.

We were in this hotel for the second time from August 17th to August 19th, 2024, the enthusiasm from the first stay quickly disappeared during the second. You can ignore the fact that the rooms are getting old, but when it comes to cleanliness it is an absolute disgrace. The fan in the bathroom worked. There was a lot of fluff on the floor in the room, as if it hadn't been wiped. And dust hadn't been cleaned in a while, judging by the way the fridge looked. But the worst of all was the bathroom, not only was there a shower curtain missing (which we installed at the reception and which was changed by the caretaker the next day), the cleanliness left more than to be desired. Not only was there still pubic hair in one corner, but another guest's hair had not been cleaned properly for a long time. This was proven by the heating pipes, which were full of dust. The fan in the bathroom didn't work either, when I pointed it out to the caretaker, he dismantled it and you could see that it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. There was so much dust on it. After he cleaned it, it still didn't work, so it seems to be really broken. The spy hole in our room door was also missing and the hole was taped up. The breakfast was rather mediocre, but sufficient and something for everyone. We paid 40 euros per person with breakfast, which is an unbeatable price, but I think you can expect a certain level of cleanliness for that.

For work reasons, I stayed in this hotel, built in 1993, with my colleagues for two nights (July 30th - August 1st, 2024). Unfortunately, this hotel is getting very old and is due to a renovation backlog, which can no longer be denied. However, this does not affect the service.Room/Bathroom: Our rooms had a renovated shower. The minibars are to be replaced and are therefore not available. The rooms were all very spacious and the bathroom wasn't too small either. Our showers had already been renovated.Bed: clean and neatly made.Due to the high temperatures, there are thin sheets in the lobby if you find the blankets too warm.Breakfast: kept simple, adapted to the number of guests, therefore not extensive but sufficient. Another solution should be found for the tea water, as there is no sink or tap available and you use the water that has already been boiled or you have to talk to the staff.Service: There's really nothing negative to say here. The lady at the reception is great, but also seems to be part of the management. As a suggestion: name tags for the staff would be great here, even since there doesn't seem to be any uniforms.Price/performance is okay.

I was only here one night. My room was very large, but the furniture could definitely use some updating.For the price-performance ratio, the breakfast and overnight stay are definitely okay.The parking space is also included in the price!

We spent one night at the Comfort Hotel Bernau. Unfortunately, the greeting was short and sweet. The room number was given, at what time breakfast takes place and unfortunately that was it.That night we wanted to get in with the key to the front door and unfortunately got the wrong one. The door was just opened to us without a word.The room itself was furnished normally, nothing special. The furniture was a bit older and the mattresses were very soft. However, there was a large balcony.The location is very quiet, which is very pleasant at night. A free parking space is available at the hotel. However, it was completely full in the evening. Luckily we didn't have to drive away.The breakfast was very manageable and the selection of rolls was unfortunately limited. The breakfast room was small, if you're unlucky you won't get a seat.Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio was great.A little more warmth would have been nice.We only found out about this from a gentleman when we checked out.

We had a family room for one night while traveling through. First of all, I have to say that the price for overnight accommodation including breakfast is sensationally cheap in this location and proximity to Berlin.What really amused me was the noticeably crooked toilet - congratulations to the installer, I've never seen anything like that ;-).Overall, the interior is a bit old, but in principle it's okay for this price range.What I didn't like was the crack in the seat of the plastic stool in the bathroom (risk of injury) and what I really think is a "no go" is the fact that the plate fan in the bathroom was very moldy. Wiping over it once would at least “apparently” solve the problem.The folder with the gastronomy tips should be updated - we had decided on the recommended Chinese restaurant opposite, which now charged almost twice the price for the buffet as stated.But what we really liked was that the staff were extremely friendly and polite, whether in front of the hotel, at the reception or when looking after the breakfast buffet. As already mentioned above, the breakfast buffet itself was excellent for this price. It was extensive, good quality and provided a great start to the day.We would use the hotel again.

Nice hotel. Very hospitable. Berlin can be reached in half an hour by metro. This can be done on foot from the hotel. Lovely shower and beds and super clean. Super friendly people. We really felt welcome there. We arrived early because of the night train, but were already allowed into 1 room because it was already ready. We only had to wait a little while for the others. We were able to take a nice shower and then return to exploring Berlin.
