I booked a single room for one night at the beginning of October.All employees were very friendly and respectful to the guests and each other.The small room was perfect. Clean, quiet and no frills, yet cozy.The breakfast was very plentiful, yet manageable and lovingly laid out. There were also some vegan options, much to my delight.Arrival, departure and payment were completely unproblematic, the location with its proximity to the Swiss Quarter, just an 8-minute walk away, was ideal for me as I already had an appointment there in the morning.Gladly again!

A very warm, friendly and helpful greeting of Welcome ! Willingly brought my heavy suitcase upstairs promptly.Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices; from a wide range of cereals including various grains, youghurts, fresh fruits, jams, cheeses, cold meats, bread, bread rolls, different coffees and creamer. Hotel Morgenland is in Lichterfelde Oos; a quiet neighborhood of Berlin. The shops are nearby accessible by bus a short walk from the hotel. There is a Family run Falaffel shop on the corner; a must !! I would stay again, if I had the opportunity to visit Berlin once more.

I work in the field and mostly stay in hotels. The room was dated and unattractively decorated. In addition to the price, the bed was not only uncomfortable, but also too narrow. Sorry.

We booked the hotel for one night for the DFB POKAL FINAL. So I can't say much about it. The man at reception was very friendly and explained to us how to get to our destination. He also sold us tickets for the bus ride very cheaply. The room was clean.

Hello, what's good is that there are parking spaces at the hotel for 7€/day. Fortunately, these are not needed for such a simple parking space as there is always something available nearby. Unfortunately, the bed in the rooms is very hard and the mattress is very sagging. I like hard mattresses but this is extremely bad even for me. There are also pleated blinds in the rooms, so if you like to sleep in the dark, the room will be light very early, depending on the time of year. What is also incredibly annoying is that the room door cannot be closed directly because there is a very strong door damper attached; I suspect this is because otherwise the door could be slammed loudly. Which for me is a knockout criterion, especially for this rating, which is really absurd and should hopefully never happen again in the future. Our deposit bottles in our room were stolen by the cleaning staff. What doesn't sound like a bad detail now annoys us. Because our deposit bottles were not in or next to the trash cans and were therefore clearly available for disposal/deposit donation. These were standing or lying under a pile of dirty laundry, which makes me wonder why the cleaning service is going through my laundry and disposing of the deposit bottles underneath. It was brought up at reception, the succinct answer was that the cleaning staff is deaf and many guests want the bottles to be thrown away. Then a pointless comparison was made with another guest's pizza. I find it disgraceful that the cleaning staff are searching through my personal belongings. I'm not concerned with the money for the deposit, but why deposit bottles lying underneath a pile of dirty laundry were stolen remains a mystery to me. I hope in the future something like this won't happen anymore and only "garbage" will be deliberately disposed of in or around the trash can.Correction:The manager of the hotel called me based on my review and apologized for the circumstances during the stay. She informed me that some of the problems I mentioned would be resolved promptly. The employees, especially the cleaning staff, will receive special training again. I think the hotel is on the right track. Thanks for that...

Maybe I should have slept on the escalator at Karstadt :-)))This is an old listed building,The rooms are very sparsely and tastelessly furnished.The furniture is at least 50 to 60 years old.Compiled from bulky waste!The 90 cm wide bed in the single room is much too small.A solid and stiff slatted frame, the individual slats are reinforced in the middle and therefore do not give in a millimeter.The mattress is bone hard.The armchair has stains!Now I understand why there are no photos of the rooms in the HRS :-)

Overall, the hotel is okay, although it does have a bit of a monastery feel to it. Some of the rooms are quite noisy and therefore not as quiet as you would expect.What bothered me personally is that there were towels almost every day. After staying for 4 days I had three shower towels and four normal onesThe breakfast is plentiful and has a good selection. When it comes to the bread and rolls, I'm not sure whether they were always fresh.
